Subtle as in, Showing hints of something going on, But not directly saying it. Like one of the Turtles saying something like. "She's kind of Cute." I don't think in a show like this the Turtles would say something like. "Shes Hot!"

I dunno, the Leo/Karai thing was always left more subtle and worked well knowing Leo had a little crush happening without watching him drool on his feet and obsessively trying to form a game plane.

But... Raph... Karai... Sorta happened already? Granted he said something to that affect while not being the one into her. But Raph was the most unsubtle part about it. lol Ok, that and Karai toying with Leo a little knowing he liked her.

Ok, The show did show the characters flirting, But that's the extend of it, If they introduce a female mutant in the series, Who be the one flirting?

Since a lot of people consider Mona Lisa one of the more popular Raph girls (aside from Ninjara), I found a really cool concept for her on Deviantart.

I think the idea of Mona Lisa being a Hindi/Indian girl is pretty clever. I especially love how they turned her pink neckerchief into a hijab/dupatta (it's one of those words). And her bindi becoming the marks of the Gecko is SO creative! Of course, this would also make a lot of red flags go up in case people decide to play the race card. I don't know much about hindi culture and I'm not sure if they wear their headscarves like that or if that's more of a Muslim look, but still she'd look awesome if this was how she was incorporated in the show.

What do you guys think?

Not a bad look and clever use of the markings.

Either way I hope they don't put hair on her.

Something I'd been thinking over... If they bring her into the show, and hopefully she sticks around long term (but not necessarily there all the time), in a way I do hope she does start out human. If they make her a cool character that had been human but now has had to deal with not only becoming a mutant but the fact that she's now bald and deciding she's perfectly cool with that... Was thinking about how there are kids dealing with illnesses, or treatments for it, that cause them to lose their hair, which is especially hard for little girls given our beauty standards. Now imagine an awesome, strong female character like Mona Lisa that could be appealing to those young fans and is a character who learns to accept the new her and embraces that "bald is beautiful."

I know I'm thinking way too much into all that, but just something that had crossed my mind.

Lol, yeah I saw that one. The labels are sort of hard to read, but you can tell from the design who belongs where. Though I have no idea what "Lee's Turtles" means. Was that a different artist? Not sure I can handle a 2014 Mona Lisa though. At least not with hair. I'm sort of liking the idea of her NOT having hair.

I think I voted in "Raph doesn't need one" category but I intrigued by the concept art of the character. Does she really have to be a love interest?

If you ever feel a main character "needs" a love interest and create one just to be that love interest and nothing else,

then you may not be that great of a writer.

It's not important for Mona Lisa to be a love interest for Raph, but, it is important for me that if she does show up, that her arcs are with Raph, kind of like how Karai's arcs are with Leo. I just hope they keep that kind of continuity going, since the writers tend to take traditional Raph arcs and give them to Donnien (I wonder if they did this, thinking that hey, Raph's the fan favorite, so if we just give his old voice actor, his banters/witty remarks and storylines of the past to Donnie, then we will make Donnie the fan favorite) Judging by the recent poll that was on here, that effort blew up big time in their face.

I just notice that the lowest view episodes are usually the love triangle centric ones, so hopeful the writers will notice and send this ship straight to Belize.

People don't like the love triangle, and tend to not care for Casey much, but Apritello is a very hot thing. They should just dump the triangle and give the viewers Apritello.

I guess the reason why they can't just let them be couple already, is because if the writers (and when I mean writers, I mean Ciro), get bored with it and break them up. What they going to with April? Surely they can't just let her continue to be on the show because that would never happen on television.

In all honesty though, I can't imagine how much different it will be if they become an item. The only honest to god change is Donnie will stop looking so ****ing surprise when April kiss him on the daily basis.

You know, I support the whole Apritello thing, The reason? Because this is another TMNT universe, Must April and Casey Jones have a relationship in each one? No, They can take so many directions with this show to establish this being its own universe, and not follow exactly what the others have.

So if they want to have some sort of relationship thing going on with Donnie and April, Let them, Besides, This version of April is not 100% human, So they have a reason to pursuit this.
