Yeah I found them on there a couple of days ago and got them in today. I actually had ordered two Donatellos and had planned on doing something with one... and I forget what. Just as well, though since a Leonardo showed up in the second one's place.

For the most part, I really like them. They're the the first Turtles I've ever seen that actually scale nicely with my 3.75/4" collection. I really, really want more like this.

I do have minor quibbles. The labels they have for certain parts are pretty weak-looking. Because of that, I think I'll just paint 'em. And the articulation is limited to head, elbow, hip, and - if you pull the joint out a bit - shoulder.

But! The fact that they're actually in my favorite scale and just being generally neat... I actually like them a fair amount better than Playmates' offerings at the same price.

More TMNT Sprukits I say! Let's get some secondary characters and classic Turtles!

I only wish the Mewtwo Sprukit I got today also was in this scale >.<

Amazon really sucks at sending me a second Donatello. First I had gotten a Leo instead (as seen above) and when I ordered Don #2 again plus Raph and Mike, only Raph and Mike showed up despite the slip saying Don was also enclosed.

I finally got around to opening my set and assembling them. They are fairly underwhelming as the come from Bandai. But if you put some time in and paint them instead of using the decals, they seem to look a lot better. And that's even with my EXTREMELY limited painting skills.

warning, large image

Yeah, I bought these to. I wished they were a bit bigger and felt more like a regular toy but dang, just painting them makes them look so much better. The sticker decals sucked.

What? Bandai makes some amazing products. These are not one them, but still. Their Gundam models for example are amazingly detailed & the final result of one such kit is a high quality piece. I wish these were more like 'em, it would've been dope as hell to kitbash a Leonardo Mobile Suit. Oh well...

Anyway, nice job with the painting!

I don't. They're the first TMNT figs in this scale and it makes me happy.

So I asked Amazon to send my Don that I didn't get.

I got two Mikes and a Raph.

How does one f**k up this bad?

So I was at Toys R Us today and saw these next to the little section where they had the new sets of TMNT Mega Blocks. They were not there last week when I checked. They were $9.99 each.

If they're finally showing up in shops it looks like I'll have to pick up my second Don that way.

That actually sounds like an unrelated medical condition and I urge you to seek urgent care immediately.

well, its shown built on the box completely wrong the then. Why wouldn't they properly advertise the finished product? They couldn't put on the stickers for display? And, stickers suck with model kits in my experience, and others. They are shiny. I dislike these all around.

Model kits are not all that popular here, but they are in Japan. And painting/detailing/personalizing the kit is a big part of the appeal. If you don't put in that effort, you're right, they are quite underwhelming and cost more than an actual figure. But if you are a modeler, you can make these look pretty good.

(Actually, if you're an unskilled baboon with $15 worth of paint you can still make them look pretty good as demonstrated by the photo of the ones I painted earlier in this thread.)
