*The punishment continued and Splinter kept a hand on Machias's back so that she could not jump away, but also for comfort. Keeping count in his head, he finally stopped. In a moment of frustration he tossed the paddle across the room.*

Sp: *whispers* I am sorry I had to do that, Child.

*She didnt move. All she could feel was his hand on her back, and the paddle as it struck. She hadnt been punished in this fashion since she was five. She winced at each hit, tears coming to her eyes in hot ashamed waves. She curled her now throbbing tail up behind her, waiting for the punishment to be over.

She felt one last hit, and then heard something fly across the room. She felt his hands on her, trying to bring some sort of comfort to her after her painful experience. Her shoulders shook, and she let herself be pulled up into his embrace, curling up like a small child into his lap as she cried.*

((Nope, cuz physical discipline would have been expected, given Splinter's Japanese background. Hey, i've mentioned it, threatened it, heck I made almost a whole chapter for it! I'm still unburnt, so far...I liked your approach in 'If you cant take the heat'...It let your imagination do the work for you...I still feel bad for Leo, tho...))

*She still felt the sting of the paddle, but felt calmer now in Splinter's enveloping hug. she refused the hiccups from coming, and simply sat quietly as her 'father' held her...*

((I dont know if you were ever on my site but in Donny's lab I was gonna put up a time machine and that would take everyone to all the young turtle's fics. Never got around to it though))
