Guess I'm minority but I really like the movie classics. If you guys want shredder and splinter, then buy them. That's the only way we get those

Why, so they can release them looking even worse than the movie turtles? I have not bought any classic collection figures and don't intend to do so.

If you look closely at Turtle Fly Mikey and LARP Leo you can see the battle shell hinges....

.... does anyone think they are using the battle shell bodies for these upcoming Turtle figures or they're just stand-ins for the fair? It is worth pointing out they have new heads and the LARP costumes are removable . New heads, old body?

I did notice that on the Mikey (not Leo) but just assumed it had been mentioned already. I'm guessing they're just using the same stock body to save on tooling costs to make up for the additional articulation. Might as well get as much as they can out of it. I was hoping for some new bodies without the storage shell.

This. We're between a rock and a hard place. Either we buy them and it tells Playmates they are doing a good job and they continue to put out lousy products, or we don't and they stop making them all together.

The heads don't look like the movie Turtles that they are supposedly replicating. I'm not going to buy a Christian Bale Batman figure with a Batman: The Animated Series head on it.

I would like a classics Shredder and Splinter, but Playmates should have made them instead of Bebop and Rocksteady in the first place. Now it's as if they're holding them hostage and trying to force the hand of the collectors. Well, I've lived this long without a cartoon-accurate Shredder and Splinter, and I can keep living that way. Those head sculpts on the Movie 1 Turtles are a joke. That's not the kind of crap you churn out to the collector market for $20 a figure.
