True... I slowed that part down and it looks like bullets though... but I can't confirm... and too they look more like machine guns than tranq guns. However that raises the question, if they are to take the Turtles alive... why fire on them when you could damage or kill one? So my guess is that they are in fact tranq darts and not bullets.

So many things get cut or go by so fast that you miss them.

With that said, the thing about the turtles and splinter's looks... I dunno why he looks more rat-like and less human... BUT... could be a result of the mutation. We know in the original cartoon that they turned humanoid from the contact with Yoshi... however this movie seems to be shaping up with DNA tampering. They could have tried to mix human DNA with them and Splinter ended up more as a "failed" attempt, while the Turtles succeeded, and because of the added human DNA they mutated with more "human" traits. Say the ability to stand... more arm to leg ratio instead of all legs, eyes, mouth... etc.

That's why I have no issue with the looks... they seem to following IDW with the experimenting on them all and in this universe the mutation gained them some human traits... I don't know... maybe I'm talking out my ass.

Also too... do we know yet if this trailer is playing with TF4?

"So called fans who hate the way the new Turtles look" huh? So if you're a fan of turtles, you love the look and if you hate the look, you're probably not a fan?

Sorry, I've just had too many conversations with people who are only lightly familiar with the turtles or familiar from the cartoon who have also said the new looks creep them out, or specifically "creeps me the hell out."

Aesthetic opinion does not dictate who is and isn't a "so called" fan.

Video - *sigh* Quite the jackasses, aren't they. Their attitude just kind of highlights why I feel that people on both sides of the argument are being INCREDIBLY obnoxious. And what, they like what's been done so they think they have the superior and only opinion allowed?

Really though, calling people non-fans for not being up the ass excited over some of the choices however... *glare*

That just irks me on a deeper level touching back to something else entirely from years ago. I won't go into that because it involved a real person (an actor who'd passed away) and I could become too easily long winded about it and off topic, but there was a similar attitude against those few who did not choose to blindly go along with some crap that was was going on like the rest of them. (And it wasn't some petty nonsense, to be brief one of the perpetrators eventually lost his teaching job over it, so it was some creepy crap people were being very blind to.)


People are free to like what they want, or dislike it. But geezus, can the fanbase just stop with the arrogance and rudeness aimed at each other.

Burton's Batman, Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Spider-Man 1 and 2, and even the first Ninja Turtles movie - and that's a small number of movies just just in the comic book movie genre - were all terrific, for fans AND non-fans, and you didn't need to "shut your brain off" one bit to enjoy them.

I forget where I read it a while ago, but someone in a magazine or something I read said something to the effect of, "I find the idea I should have to 'shut my brain off' to enjoy something to be insulting." I mean, no, things don't need to all be "Heaven's Gate", and they shouldn't be. But I really hate that there's enough people in the "shut your brain off" camp that they're an entire market by themselves. I'd rather that movies be made for everyone, not just the easily amused. ((Shrug))

But yeah, T4 is already established so I doubt it'll bomb. TMNT might do worse if the word of mouth is bad, but as I've always said, as a movie franchise TMNT has never done great anyways. I wouldn't necessarily compare the success of T4 to TMNT's potential, there's a lot of variables involved.

Heh, I like the Transformer movies, but I just think I like to hear Peter Cullen's voice in the theater more than anything. He's going to be missed when he retires.

Corey's said many times he isn't a TMNT fan at all. It was "after his time" or "came out after he started chasing girls" so he isn't invested in the franchise at all. With as much venom he spits at the Nick show, I was rather surprised he is so excited for this...

He was calling out people complaining in context to the people that got on him for disliking the transformers designs in the movie. Basically laughing now that the shoe is on the other foot.
His opinion on the designs and the movie is just as valid as the guy that has every issue of mirage in his basement. Sorry but it's true. Opinions man.

I saw Transformers 4 today in 3D.

While some of the trailers were also 3D (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), The TMNT trailer was not.

Was awesome to see it on a big screen in 4K resolution though.

If anyone gets to see it in 3D (if it's even available in 3D), please let us know.
