The bamboo training sessions also reminded me of "Iron Monkey". That was a great movie, I've got to watch it again now.

I really enjoyed Saki gliding around the room like that. He's clearly in touch with his body and his enviroment. His ability to not trip in those baggy pants says it all.

Splinter just gets more and more impressive. The way he launched himself at Casey shows that he's not the frail old rat he's often made out to be. He's also got a biting sense of humor.

This was a great episode, I'm sorely tempted to pry my boyfriend away from the TV so I can watch it again now.

I really can't say much that nobody else hasn't said. Really, really liked it, and the new show is amazing. I hope it lasts even longer than the original show did, but I doubt it. Saturday morning cartoons usually have a "two or three seasons and out" shelf life nowadays. Gone are the days when "Ghostbusters" and "Garfield and Friends" would last for seemingly eternity.

Oh, yeah, my girlfriend watched it with me. She loves the new show and anything Turtles pretty much, but she never read Mirage (because it's in black and white, a gripe most people who never read it have. Too bad). So she had no idea what the Utroms were. When she saw the ending she looked at me like "WTF was that about?" I had to explain it to her. Maybe one day I'll force-feed her some Mirage books.

Hey, Sean, if your girlfriend doesn't like B/W books, you could always try and find the colored versions for her. Just a suggestion.

I could do that. It's kinda hard around here though since I kinda cleaned almost every comic shop in Jersey outta TMNT comics already.

I do have a book that has the first like three issues of Mirage in color though.

And dude, seriously, what did you mean "you're surprised I have a girlfriend"? Should I sent HT pictures and have her post them? I mean geez, can't a guy watch TMNT, read comics, collect toys, watch wrestling, write award-winning FanFic and still find time to get laid?

Hey, I have a theory on why Shredder and the Utroms are enemies!
Saki is supposed to be known as a legitimate business man, Right?
So there must be a legitimate company that's really a front for the foot.

And we know the Utroms run the company T.C.R.I, right?
And they do use the company to finance their secret operations.

So maybe they're enemies because they're business rivals!
The Utroms probably know that Saki is really a Ninja/Supervillian, and Saki probably knows that T.C.R.I. is run by aliens. But it's the business part of each organization that pits them against eachother!

Just a thought.

Well, these so far...

http://www.turtlequest.com/fanfic/legacyring.html

"Legacy of the Ring" is my first try at fanfic. Apparently, people liked it, as it won "Best New Author", "Best Crossover", and came in 2nd for "Best New Story" I think in the Annual Fanfic Awards.

I think I tied with or beat Kali in one of them, and for that I am very, very sorry. You rock, Kali!

I mentioned them in the Fan Works forum. The thread is "It had to be done..." I'll bump it so anyone who reads it can post feedback there.

That includes you, Gator-man! I guar-own-tee!

Once again, a great episode! I really think this is the best American cartoon-show EVER!!
I liked the X-Files-touch of the Utrom-scene. Did anyone else feel reminded of X-Files or other Mystery-shows while watching that?
