There's no way that can be real. Everyone knows the TMNT are mutated Red Eared Sliders. That looks like a damn dinosaur. It looks nothing like a humanoid turtle... and I'd be game for that. This... this just looks like a fan made prop. Kudos if it is, but damn shame if it's not.

Its confirmed real, but its not a turtle like we thought but its actually April. As you can see everyone is very upset they made April look like in the new movie.

I do like it and it did reminded me of Michael Zulli's work and closer to the look of the first book as Andrew pointed out. Its probably fake and something done up by a fan but a look that is similar to that, with articulated facial features in a similar style to this would be cool imo.

It could be a mock up for early screen testing purposes but I don't know if they would use something like this, if they are doing CGI over the heads it being one piece I don't know how well it would move although silicone masks seem really good for movement... I doubt they would use latex as silicone seems so much better. I cant tell what it is in the pic maybe someone with experience working with it could tell...

Look at "Where the Wild Things Are." The masks/headpieces didnt' have any moving parts at all, that was all done in post in CGI.
