BACK TO THE TOPIC!

Okay, first off, I'm as pissed as everyone else about the Applegator thing. Thanks to that stupid Foodon (and a few other things) I have to rerecord the ep next week. But I managed to see it all, and fully enjoyed it.

- About Mikey being picked on. Usually, I'd say it's really unfair, but then again, it would be a great build up if say, Mikey has to save the day in the third part.

- One of my favorite parts is when Mikey goes "I still don't trust them." "Why not?" "Try the fact they're monsters!" "Yeah, well to some, so are we." Score one for Don (?). Very good point, glad someone brought it up.

- The "Maybe it's upside-down" joke is old, but they pull it off well here by having Mikey suggesting it. Not that he suggests it, but how. While Don's focused on the details, Mikey thinks outside the box, as it were. It's not a stupid suggestion, merely so simple that most serious people wouldn't even think of it. I love how Mikey's mind works.

I can see this thread being touched up by some mods in the near future.

Anyhow, I'm also disapointed by the whole Applegator thing messing up the show. I hope whoever is repsonsible for that stupid concept gets a bo staff shoved up his @$$!

Back on topic: You notice how the monsters attacked the smart ones? Why didn't they attack each other? Did they some how know they were smarter than them? The one monster (apparently the only one who could talk) said they would go insane in the furture. Would the other monsters attack them than?

sorry for not posting earlier . . .i had some computer problems but now everything is working fine . . .

about the ep, it was pretty good. not much comes to mind right now, but there were some good funny moments, like mikey saying "now this is crazy, we're going somewhere monsters are even afraid to go!" i was also surprised that only raph was fighting of the TMNT.

and about that preview with baxter before the show, i was rather confused. but did you notice that leo was getting beat up by invisible ninjas on the street? that wasn't in any previous episodes (he fought them in the sewers in "the way of invisiblity"). i bet this is from a future ep like the shredder strikes back or return to NY.

For those who were able to see part 2 can post a topic. But I was unable to watch it because a S.T.U.P.I.D. Baseball show! I still can't believe I have to wait a whole week to see part 2 & part 3 as well.

Perhaps there was more than one lab? We didn't see the four already degraded monsters in the video from Part I. That also might explain why there are two seperate groups at two seperate points of degredation, although the blue one seems to be the only one with significant intelligence left. I dunno, just throwing something out there.

A good episode but I think these should be watched in a row. I don't know what goes on in 4kids executives mind... First the Blue Bar and now Applegator...

FoxBox has more contests than Homestar Runner. It's a good thing they rerun last week's episodes next week or I'd have to wait until who-knows-when to tape an ep without (or at least as little as possible) onscreen garbage.

And call me a skeptic, but I don't think typing a sentence in asterisks really means you're doing the things you say you are.

Here's what I figure. 4Kids wants to put up onscreen garbage (applegator, the blue bar) because it ruins our tapes. They want to ruin our tapes so we will be more likely to buy their DVD's when and "if" they ever get released. Therin lies the problem. Some companies who shall remain nameless (“Cough, DiC, ahem) have a very bad habit of only releasing certain episodes on DVD. Usually the most repeatable ones. 4Kids Entertainment on the other hand has a habit of releasing the episodes in order, but they will only release a certain amount of them. Usually about 6 to 12 episodes. But this is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles we’re talking about. If the original series was any indication (192 episodes) then this new series will last quite awhile. What about the episodes that they don’t release which will probably be most of them? That is why we tape them. Syndication doesn’t last forever either. That is why this Appelgator filth drives me soooooooo crazy.

Well I believe we will get full season on DVD, but the disc will probably be released separately. This how they are doing kirby, In order 3 episodes per disc.

I'm pretty content with videos for now, but I'll be more than happy to see if they come out with DVDs of the new series. Peter Laird should definitly opt for a boxset of the first season, which I guess wouldn't come out for another year.

Yeah, box sets are a lot more efficient, but it is my understanding that most shows that get them are either off the air or are from seasons that are so old, they aren't shown on tv as often. The first season of TMNT will probably be shown for a while yet, and may be more profitable once the episodes are no longer aired as often.

And as far as the onscreen stuff goes, even if they're not their, there are still the branding logos stations have, which are always there. My local FoxBox affiliate also wants their own logo on there, so we have the FoxBox logo on the lower right and a "Cleveland's WB 55" logo on the bottom left.

Here's the fun thing about living in Cleveland: our FoxBox affiliate is also our WB affiliate, so that means with Kids' WB taking up Saturday mornings, I don't get to see the Turtles until Sunday. I havn't gone to church since it came on, so I expect the show to be good, since I'm going to hell for it. Oh, and our branding logo has Michigan J. Frog on it, so he's always on our screen. And there are constant flood warnings for the very small southernmost viewing area.

And tapes wear out.

Yeah, a DVD box set would be nice.
