eh... sometimes you just gotta take risks. Who knows how the show would have kicked off if they fought in space since episode 7? You just never know.

The show remaining grounded for most of Season 1 was a smart move. Lots of people are turned off by sci-fi elements for whatever reason.

If Lionsgate can do it (and even improving upon earlier reasons thanks to the Season 3 boxset), surely Shout!, Nickelodeon, or someone else can do it! With no Region 1 release of the final season, Turtles Forever needed to be included (unedited), along with making this set more affordable ($80-$100), this is a potential moneymaking opportunity along with boosting the TMNT's popularity even further.

Nick owns the 4kids series, so they either release it themselves or partner with someone like Shout! Factory for the DVDs. Shout releases a lot of Nick's older 90's cartoons to DVD for example.

Shout would be a great choice. I had a dream last night that Nick were bringing out the 2k3 DVDs in December 2014 lol Was annoyed when I woke up and realised it wasn't real.

Talking TMNT 2K3 Box-Set actually happening!

Someone already mentioned this, but look: http://www.sainsburysentertainment.c...duct=E11275754

It's perfect because it coincides with the 10th year anniversary AND it only contains Seasons 1-4 which means it stops right before the series becomes complete sh!t. WIN

I thought that season 5 was good. A step down from previous seasons, but good non the less.

I don't think it is the OT. if i am right, the studio on the sainsbury's website is paramount. I'm not an expert (i could be wrong about this), but is this the studio who is making the box set? If it is, why would paramount take over making the OT DVD releases from Lionsgate?

Fingers crossed, that this is the 4kids series. Then we can all laugh at alliance and show him that people DO care about the 2k3 series.

Also that's a UK website, so I don't take it seriously. If its not coming out in the U.S. it doesn't exist in my mind.

Because its not a real full release then. When things only get released in one particular region its niche.

If its not a U.S. release I wouldn't start celebrating just yet.

First of all, there's no mention that that's the 2K3 series.

Second, it's only the first 4 seasons....so, it's not a complete set anyway...

And finally, it says it's only for Europe and Japan. Don't get excited over this guys, you'll be let down...

To be fair the company name says Paramount. Only Lionsgates has the rights for the OT DVDs.

Isn't Paramount the same company as Viacom/Nick?

Well then it has to be the 4kids series by the power of deduction:

1. Lionsgate owns the original toon, there's no reason they'd allow Paramount to release Seasons 1-4 especially since they just released a Season 3 set this July.

2. The Nick show only has 1 season under its belt, so it can't be that.

3. Viacom owns the 4kids series, so it has to be that.

If this is true it better be a worldwide release.

But....it's still only 4 seasons. Nothing to really get excited about, IMO.
