But I like the idea of Raph throwing fireballs. That'd be cool.

I like anime, and I'm very open to the different kinds there are. I actually enjoyed the TMNT anime eps. I thought it was pretty awesome to see the transform like that. It reminded me of Ronin Warriors.

I can't beleve they want to get rid of the surfer lingo though!!!!!!!!!! what about "Cowabunga"??? it IS TMNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope they keep at least some goofiness, the great thing about the old cartoon was that it had a perfect mix of action and goofiness

the slang from the early 90's was what made TMNT great! It would be horrible if they got rid of it!

Well, I'm kinda glad they're getting rid of the old slang. Not that I didn't like the slang, I loved it, but it would "date" the cartoon. They're trying to bring it into the now and they'll probably use today's slang. Not to say they won't ever use "Cowabunga", just not on a regular basis.

Well they are doing it like mirage... And in interview Peter Laird said that the show got boring and he didnt even watch it.... The lingo dosent bother me in the old cartoon, but Im happy if it's not there in the new one...

Yeah.. it's doesn't bother me much that Mikey isn't yelling Cowabunga, or that Leo isn't decalring "Turtles Die with Honor" every other ep in the new series. Not saying that I don't like that, I just think the slang was more unique for the cartoon Turtles of that era.

Plus, it used to puzzle me to death how a Turtle (Mikey) grew up under the NYC city streets, and had NOT been anywhere near California, would talk like that. Plus I heard the surf on the east coast is flat compared to the Pacific coast.

No one knows, I think it is because he watched so much tv that he developed a californian accent off of what he heard.
It was "Turtles fight with honor" death was a no no for cartoons back then. I would be really dissapointed if they didn't say Cowabunga and all thier little catch phrases, the real thing I am afraid of though is if they try making the turtles for kids now, sure that maybe the bigest cartoon audience but the turtles as I know them don't have techno music!!!! They have good old 80s synthesizers!!!!!

probebly but it is still on a kids channel at a time period more for kids, so I think that either it will be aimed for kids and if, or should I say WHEN it gets popular

if it is too comic bookish, parents will once again probebly try to make them tone down the violence

We need some death. Maybe it should be on a better channel. WB allows some blood and death, I know that. And we still need some lingo, just not too much. Also....Splinter....if he looks like he did in the old cartoon Ill be mad. That ruined him. Lets try and get it right this time?
