Hey, Does anyone know how many Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ultimate Collection books they are going to do? I have the first 3 and most will get 4. They are pricey, so I am just wondering how many I will shell out on. Thanks

yes, there will be five ultimate collection books...the last two reprinting the city at war story line and the shades of grey introduction...

yet, often people have asked bobby or tom if they would continue reprinting vol 2, 3 or 4 in the ultimate collection format and they said it wasn't planned, but if sales would stay as high one could thiink about that...

i know in the original show the turtles had communicators,so im guessing that they probably had them in the archie comic as well. wouldnt it be cool to see something like this in the new comic/show..it could be useful..

Thanks for sharing this link. I was able to snatch it up, and I'm pleased as punch the art in the Donatello book is amazing and I lost it some years ago. Hope the same is true for the Mikey and Raph books.

I was wondering why Archie comics did a 1-3 runof Turtle adventures in 1988 only to relaunch it at #1 in 1989? I've always been really confused by this.

Also i'm new to the IDW series, where is the best place online to buy issues 1-16 of the main title?

Easiest way to do it would be to just buy the trade paperbacks, unless you're into the sport of hunting down individual issues in shops and online.

Yes. Change is Constant, Enemies Old, Enemies New, and Shadows of the past collects issues from the main run, while there are two Micro-Series TPB volumes so far.

As for the Archie question, I'd say just like the OT's pilot itself, the first three issues were a trial to see if a full, regular series would be worth investing. Since the OT's pilot was only rerun a few times, the only way to "see" the then-new cartoon would be by purchasing the Archie versions. Since it stated on the cover that it would be just a special three issue mini-series, they decided to start over at #1 since the trial was passed and Archie felt it would be profitable to begin a regular series.

How much should I pay for a Mirage TMNT vol 1 #3 1st print? And how much for a vol 1 #2 2nd print? They're both graded FINE.

I'd say around $15 each is ideal. $20 is OK, but don't go above that.

I've been doing some research on the IDW ongoing and learned the Turtles are reincarnated? Is that origin to throw the reader of? Seems kind of weird to me.

That depends. You can get this book pretty cheap and in decent condition if you're willing to hunt around at second-hand book stores and flea markets.

Those that know the first printing contains the "Insanity" section listing sexual deviations that was later taken out in future printings will charge much more (I've seen upwards of $100 in comic shops). However, those that don't know this typically put it up for under $10.
