Do you like any of the WD fanart over at Deviantart? I've seen some that I think is very good!
Was "Tales" good? Compared to the first novel, I heard it was a bit watered down. Ahhh? (I'm a piece of crap) But, seriously; I heard mixed reviews.

Yes! I love looking at WD fanart. DA has a ton of very talented artists! For such an old book, I'm glad to see that it has a huge fan base.

It's amazing when you consider just how much fanart based on novels is floating around out there. Hadn't really thought of that before.

Hmmm...Now that I'm thinking about it, would it be a nice idea to make a thread in the "Books, comics, and Other Literature" forum for "Your Favorite Novel Fanart"? I'd be interested to see what people post

LOL you're bad. I liked it; it had more tails (heh) of El-ahrairah, has some stories with new characters who come to the Watership warren and also gives some of the original WD characters a bit more of their own story (mainly Hyzenthlay).

I think if you expect it to be a sequel to Watership Down, you'll be disappointed - but if you treat it as a collection of short stories, it's a quite enjoyable book. It fleshes out some of the El-ahrairah stories that were only mentioned in passing in WD as well.

Heehee! Puns are the worst; I love them! I'm sure I will enjoy Tales no matter what. Adams has a wonderful lyrical style that I can't get enough of.

And yay! I went ahead and made the thread.

I finished up the DNA Guardians run as well as the Thanos Imperitive.

Also, Superior Iron Man isn't bad at all.

I'm finally rereading my collection of Archie TMNT Adventures comics from my childhood. This was the very first comic series I collected and read. I don't own every single issue / spin-off / mini-series / special, but I have most of them. It's the first time I've reread them since I was pretty little so I'm excited to do it. I'm currently on issue #11 right now.

Marvel's new Moon Knight. The first 6 issues are the best thing I've read in comics. Ever.

Currently reading "Boring Girls" which is the first novel written by my friend, Sara. She is more well known for being the singer of the band, The Birthday Massacre, who are awesome if you have not heard of them. I just got it in the mail today and I couldn't put it down. I would have finished it in one sitting if I didn't have work. Going to finish the rest of the book tonight!

Well I just got done reading "Catcher In The Rye" with a friend about a week ago. We both equally enjoyed it.

So now my new reading goal is to read through all six volumes of AKIRA...and I'm halfway done!

Finished The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins. And almost done with The Miraculous Day Of Amalia Gomez. (Reads for college Lit classes. Good reads too!)

For pleasure reading I'm listening to David Sedaris' Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk.

Just recently finished two books, a pet-care guide on turtles (thinking of getting one) and a book on origins and focus of various martial arts (research of my fics), both of which I checked out from my local library. Both good reads, and the martial arts one had some interesting bits about modern ninjutsu and how some schools focus on students helping each other and learning to work for the benefit of their communities. Hmmm, sound familiar?

I wouldn't recommend turtles as pets. Aquatic turtles get HUGE and they are so messy when you keep them in a tank. Like, you know the turtles that chill in lakes at apartments? Those are similar to the ones that you buy as babies in pet stores. Red-ear sliders I think they're called. Anyway, tortoises may be a different story. Yes they get big too but not having to deal with a huge water tank is such a weight off your shoulders. Plus turtle boxes seem so easy to make if you're handy like that. I already did all this research years ago when I wanted turtles. I realized it wasn't for me.
