Modern fits perfect for the idw books except the annual, if you want it boarded go silver age. May want to go ahead and get a longbox instead so you'll be prepared for the new comics as they come out.

Thanks venom. So you recommend just getting the silver age bag and board for the annual, and stick with the modern for regular issues. If I go with all silver age size bag and boards will they still offer enough protection or do you want them to be snug?

All my IDW issues are in silver age, and they are fine to me.

How many mutants were in the Mirage run?

Specifically created from the ooze?
IDW and Nick seem to be cranking out mutants left and right.
I'm trying to find what mutant characters were in all three volumes of the Mirage run.

Leatherhead and Bloodsucker

Though technically I don't think Bloodsucker would count, because while he was mutated via the mutagen. His exposure was via sucking the ooze out of Raphael and mutating as a result. Plus Old Man River a spirit of magic had a hand in the whole thing

Other than the four Turtles, Splinter, and Leatherhead there were not a lot of mutants (read: None) that existed in the Mirage Universe. There were aliens, different species, and other monsters created via science or magic.

It fed into the whole the Ninja Turtles are special and the only ones of their kind mentality.

Off the top of my head... The turtles, Splinter, Leatherhead, Bloodsucker, from volume 1 (although I guess you could count guys like Chote, Usagi, Etc.)

Volume 2 had freaks like the Fish woman and the giant turtle, but no mutants.

Volume 3 had Warlord Komodo and King Komodo, plus the freaks that were Image characters.

Volume 4, sci-fi as it was, didn't feature any new mutants.

Why would you count Chote, a creature created by magic, or Usagi, a Anthropomorphic Rabbit from a race of Anthropomorphic Rabbits?

I like my modern ocmics to be a little snug; you should have a small amount of space around the comic for it to easily slide into the bag.

Silver age leaves too much space around the comic, in my opinion, which could lead to damaged corners and such if mishandled.

Thanks, thats what I was kind of worried about. I have another question regarding idw tmnt #1 RIC C with the Sam Keith art. I been looking for it for awhile and was wondering what's a decent price I should expect to pay for a NM+ condition.

Saw on ebay a graded comic that has "virgin" in its description and was wondering if this means unread? Or does it mean unreleased? Thanks

usually when i've seen that, it means just the cover art, no title or artists listed or anything like that... otherwise i'd have no clue what they meant.

In book terms it means unread and, in addition, unopened (so the spine of the book would be perfect).

Is there a good website where I could see print runs of Archie's TMNT Adventures? Thanks in advance!

You might try Comichron. They have archives of comic book sales. While that's not necessarily the total print run, it's likely close (within a few hundred).

Unfortunately the month by month archive for Archie that starts in 1995 in the series twilight did not include TMNTA. Is there another source that has third party company covered? Maybe that would tell us unless I happen to ask Dan Berger and he would have the answer.

What is the different between the Ultimate Editions that IDW is publishing and the TMNT Classics trades that are also being published? I'd like to get as much of the volume 1 reprints as possible, but I'm not sure what to get. I have the first three Ultimate Editions, but I'm not sure if I should also get the Classics books as well. Any help?
