I was going to ask something similar as I wanted to know what the DVD menu was like.

ALSO HAS ANYONE found any official info on this? I SERIOUSLY want to know when or if they will be coming out in other stores. OR in Canada. We don't have Targets so I am a little pissed that A. they don't seem to be anywhere else other than Target and B. we have heard nothing about release dates.

I just had a look at the artwork for these figures. Now I've read through this read and heard mention about the old packaging which I remembered and loved and what good reason playmates had for not choosing those old ones again.

I personally love the box art as it's the vintage artwork compiling all the characters being released in this anniversary set. I for one thing they did a great job with the box art. Any thoughts?

I'm going to dig up my old card backings. When I opened all the figures back in the day I had a nasty habit of keeping the card backing of every guy . I'd like to check and see if this new card has been sampled from the old ones or not, though im sure it has been.

I saved all my cards too. The cardback is reminiscent of the original 88 cardback with slash and casey jones thrown in. It is disappointing they didn't keep the bio cards, but I'm glad they kept the comic strip at the top (which coincidentally shows Shredder WITH pants).

I wouldn't mind having one generic card, but the layout is just weird. April's just a torso in the bottom right corner. Everything just looks so smashed and drag and dropped. I think the same effect could have been done better.

Yes, it's not the old art I have a problem with it's the fact that the layout is so poorly designed and crammed together, not to mention how bad the perspective is with some of the characters in conjunction of other characters on the box.
Everything just looks randomly slapped together as if it was done in a rush without a care in the world.
Quality controll hasn't been one of Playmates strong points since their return to the scene in 2002, but seriously this is just a mess.
I wouldn't say it was bad if it wasn't, because I've given them plently of praise over the years.
I think they should have had some new Box art created for each character like Peter Laird was working on but then was rejected by Playmates.
I know the toy market is odd right now and box art has been generic since the late 90's but hell even the G.I. Joe and Transformers figure all had their own box art for the anniversary figures.
As bitter as I am about them not making toon acurate figures instead of these, I would have gladly plopped down money for the umpteenth re-release of these figures had they actually put a bit of work into the package designs.

All and all a nice thought but the execution is poor.

Because they all have had the same cards for each wave ever since the movie line started. They can't afford different card for each, so they tried to put everyone on the front and cut the file cards (though they should have included them in the bubble like the ones from the mid 90's).

Hope that's what you ment. By the way you said it, I couldn't tell if you wanted them to reprint the originals (which are some of the only card art that makes me want any MISB) or so pointing out that it looks fine.

I saw these at Target today & nearly freaked out. Not so much 'cause of the turtles (as I have them already), but because I thought there would be Foot Soldiers there- which there wasn't.

Here's a picture I took with my cell phone whilst I was in Target:

I have the majority of these figures already, but I DO know my little Snailman-self will be buying lots of Foot Soldiers soon as I see them on the shelf. I've been trying to build up my Foot Soldiers since I was a kid & to this day I only have like, 6 or so. This 25th Ann. toyline is gonna be a HUGE help in me getting my army built up nicely.

I agree with people's opinion of the tiny Krang being with Shredder. Seems like it'd be cooler just to release him IN that android body of his, but maybe they figured it'd just be easier to kill 2 birds with 1 stone & have him as a pack-in.

Still don't know why Shredder has no pants though...

I too dream of a Foot army. Don't know why, but I love that mold. My problem is the price tag. $9-11 is what I'm hearing. It will be almost cheaper to make my custom Foot army using Marvel Universe Ronin paint included. Still, it's nice to see more of it made.

EDIT: Off topic, but has anyone seen the Marvel Universe figures yet? I'm not sure if their out yet or not.

These figures were $8.99 at Target, which is still a bit of a hike compared to their original price tag of $3.99 back when they first came out. My whole way to "deal" with the price increase is, if I were to go out & try to buy a MOC original Foot Soldier it's gonna cost me at least 10 bucks anyways, if not a little more (or less if I find a good deal). Plus, I first have to find the original MOC Foot Soldier, then pay for shipping, so in the long run (at least, as far as I see it), it just pays to slap down the $9 dollars & save myself some time. Plus, with Foot Soldiers, if you already have 1 with the Bio Card/Cardback, do you really need one for every other Foot Soldier we'd buy?

Also, I wonder if the price is due to the DVD being included, OR simply Playmates trying to milk more money out of the collector community? AND, will only the turtles be coming with DVD's, or will all of the toys be?

Not me, & I traveled ALL over the place today; went to one store reeeeally far from my house & hit a lot of places on the way back (4 Stop & Shops & 2 Target's). Only real "new" toys I saw were the 25th TMNT figures. The Target that picture was taken in only have 1 Dons & 2 Mikeys, the 2nd Target had all 4 but nothing else.

The target I went to today had two of each 25th anniversary figs, so I bought a set of all 4 turtles, when I seen them in the toy section I felt like a kid again it was awesome, but anyways I watched 2 of the dvd's and the quality is the same as the old toon dvd quality so they did'nt upgrade it.

OT, I know, but are you referring to the figures like Kang and Heroes Reborn Iron Man? If so I live in North Alabama and my Wal-Mart has had those figures in stock since before Christmas...right over where the Turtles used to be.

I went to two Targets, and they hadn't even changed for the new peg tags yet, let alone actually stock any new (old) Turtle toys.

Horse ****!

Targets do things alot more individually than some places. It could take a while. Did you bring the numbers with you to the place?

Not so much collectors as most of us have these things and are over it.
It's obvious what they are aiming for and that is nostalgia, just look around this thread alone and you can see that this is the majority of peoples reasoning for wanting these, even though I see all of these figures pretty cheap on my weekly ebay searches till this day, but hey who am I to tell people what to spend or save money on.

Every Wal-Mart is oddyl differnt with the way it's set up and stocks it's toys or what they get in even.
For whatever reason the Wal-Mart I work at hardly ever gets any good action figures in.
There's pretty much only one in the area that stocks a good amount of action figures, and sadly by the time I get there the scalpers have taken all of the harder to find figures like Crossbones.
But yes Those are the figures I'm talking about I finally found a Kang.
All of my side money has been going to Marvel Legends characters I like as well as Dc Universe ones, Playmates would seriously be smart to finally get on the boat and do a line like those.

Maybe the four turtles are wave one and the other characters are wave 2?

Are the MOC versions of these toys on ebay honestly cheaper than the ones in stores?

I see them going for almost the same price on ebay.

I for one am very excited about these, even though I would have liked to have seen more characters and more cartoon accurate color schemes. I think it is possible that the small Krang may very well be pictured without his Android Body but still be more than a Shredder accessory, they might have done that to save space on the back of the card. We'll have to wait and see...are the turtles the only figures out so far? Really looking forward to these.

They had them at the South Setakuet Target & some other one near Commack I think. It was my first time to that store out in that area, so I don't know "technically" were it is located, but both had the figures. The Sout Setakuet Target actually had more, were as the othr store just have 2 Mikey's & a Donny on the pegs.

I live in Cali and went to three Targets, nothing. This is common though we never get jack **** over here. All those Marvel Legends toys and collectible stuff we never get, ever. Unless the basement jockeys hawk the toy aisles and buy them all before I ever see them. From what I've noticed they never stock the action figure aisle at all. Almost every Target, or toy store, I go into has the same figures they had before and almost all the pegs are empty. What they do have left is usually a bunch of the same character, like some fat guy from Star Wars.

I know they're doing resets right now but if the Targets on the east coast are already done there's no reason they shouldn't have done it already over here, lazy bastards. It takes like four days to do a reset and they let you wear street clothes when you do it so customers don't bother you.
