One thing I still can't quite figure out. Did mikey really spend months or hours in DX? The rest of the turtles jumped in literally seconds, at most a minute after him. As OT mikey would say...mondo bizarrio dude

Well time does go faster in Dimention X, so months might be an exaggeration. But he had certainly spend a long time there, that is for sure. Maybe a month and a couple of weeks at least.

I loved this episode too, actually after seeing that ghost episode I was starting to think that I hated this Donatello.... A lot.
But even though this wasn't a Donatello centric episode (thank God) there was lots of good little Donny moments that made me like his character again!!!!
This is defiantly my fav. Mikey centered episode EVER!

I don't know if time dilation was the best concept to introduce. It would be hard enough to keep continuity with one writer; there are bound to be errors when you have a different writers trying to remember the rules between Earth time and DX time.

It does comes off more as a plot convenience to age Leatherhead and make Mikey useful in ways that otherwise wouldn't make sense, other than well-constructed world building.

But Doug Langdale did do the best he could with the story he was given, and turned what could have been a terrible episode into a fun, well-paced adventure.

I saw the episode. Nobody noticed certain reference in the episode?

Spoiler:
Before the face the lava and ice monster, Mikey is hanged upside down with his "grappling worm" the same way Spider-Man use to do in the comics with his webs.

I don't people cared much, it's not an uncommon thing to see with rope swinging characters.

Much less in this show.

This is the probably the 3rd Spiderman homage they've done in the show.

Heck, I think the fact it's a show based in NYC is one of the reasons they do them.

Really liked this one. I've been getting a bit frustrated with Mikey always being the "useless dumb one" and the butt of the joke, so this was exactly what I've been waiting for. I get that the plan is probably to slowly develop him over time, but I hope they keep this momentum going - he was allowed to be competent and useful while keeping his fun/goofy personality intact, and that is the Mikey I want to see more of.

I can imagine a moment where he realizes he underestimates himself partly because everyone else underestimates him. Love Cipes as Mikey, and overall he's a lot of fun, but I'm ready for him to grow up a little bit. Just a little.

Don't know if anyone mentioned this as an easter egg or homage yet, but the S.R.M.F.F. VHS video cassette's label design resembled the old F.H.E. Ninja Turtles VHS tapes.

The company that makes the VHS is also called X.K.E.

I was told by the doctor I must stay in the hospital for two more weeks. Altogether that means I will be here a full month.

For this ep, not sure I can watch it yet. I don't have the cellular data too atm.

So, please can anyone tell me more about Mikey for this ep?
Out of curiosity why are you in the hospital you okay? But saw the episode! Was awesome really glad to see Leatherhead again and Michelangelo was great!

It's no problem. I shall pass along my tale.

*Takes out a pipe that blows bubbles while still fangirling over this ep and how awesome Mikey was*

I'll put this into a spoiler tag since it's so long, but I will say this. Technically, exercising got me here.

Spoiler:
So, back on abou August 27, I started having breathing issues. Doing the simplest thing was causing me to have shortness of breath, even though the days before, I'd gone to the gym to workout without any problems. I assumed my blood pressure was too low as it had been lately. Trying to work like this was a hassle because I work with kids sometimes which involves singing and gestures. The next day, the same thing.

On that Friday I planned to go to the nearby clinic to get checked out since I would have a large break after my first class. While trying to get ready for work, I could barely dress. I couldn't catch my breath, I was sweaty, my heart was pounding. I just continued trying to dress for work. Next thing I remember, I was waking up on the floor. I could barely stand. I called work, told them I needed to go to the hospital. My manager called an ambulance.

I still struggled to dress. I tossed a few things in my bag (phone, charger, iPad). I still had to dress myself. I heard the knocks on the door. I tried to get there. I passed out again right at the door. The knocks woke me up. I reached up, unlocked it and pretty much fell out the door. I couldn't stand or anything. I was super dizzy and nauseous and my breathing was becoming worse.

Anyway, had tests done. Apparently, I had a Pulmonary Embolism. It burst and I now had blood clots in the lungs. The exercise from the previous days probably caused it to break. How it formed could've been from my flight I recently took to Hiroshima. It was a short trip, so I didn't take a baby aspirin or wear my compression socks, like I would if I were taking an international flight. I also had a window seat. My friend hates window seats. I couldn't move my long legs much. I tend to sit in the aisle seats for the leg room. I had this before back when visiting NY five years ago. Was in the hospital for only a week, barely.

Anyway, they admitted me here August 29. Been here ever since.

I was supposed to have left September 13, but on the 10th or 11th, I had another attack similar to the one I had when I was first brought in. They had to put me back on the oxygen and everything, even though I hadn't used it for a while. They checked my level and it was at like 80% or something. A normal blood oxygen level, I think you call it, is 94% and higher.

Turns out my body had a reaction to the medication (Heparin) which caused my blood platelet levels to drop and developed something called Heparin-induced thrombocytopenia or HIT, which also forms abnormal clots. So I had to be taken off of the Heparin drip and start a new medication through the IV.

So this is why I'm still here. The doc says I might can leave September 27.

The scene where they escaped through the portal and you see leather head hanging on the side of the building is probably one of the busiest new york scenes we have seen. There was actually traffic out.

Whoa, seriously?!

Think someone would be kind enough to provide a screencap of this?

I loved this one. I was captivated by Dimension X in the old show but the craziness they pumped into this incarnation ruled in all sorts of ways. Great to see Mikey shining in this episode. Also nice to see Lh finally returning. I love the big guy quite a lot. He's one of my favorite characters. Traag and Granitor were also fun additions, and I definitely caught the names.
