I dont like wave 2.It just another wave of Marvel legend figures for me. All the designs are boring as hell compared to the four turtles.

Just take a look at all those wave 2 figures guys. They look exactly the same with those marvel legend figures out there flying all over the country. I mean come on i noe it is just a figure, but come on,take a closer look... ...

Shredder's face looks IDENTICAL to food ninja's face, and that stupid eyes,skinny bodies, just wanna make me love. What happened to shredder's cape?

Foot ninja,soldier and shredder pretty much share the same body, give me a break please, put some more effort on sculptin.

Also wutz up with april's face?Look so ugly and old.

Dude, Shredder only had a cape in the OT and the movies....in the comics he never had one. And yes they are the same sculpt, but times are tough, and DC Universe is even worse, considering all the adult male superheroes are the same basic sculpt.

EDIT: Actually Shredder's face and the Elite are slightly different. the Elite comes to a point, Shredder's is more rounded.

That's sort of the point here. Neca has the budget for very few figures. In fact, the industry itself is moving to a "less is more" strategy to turn small profits on previously prosperous toylines. So here, Neca's taking the same strategy that made the first wave a success, and working it so we get lesser-known figures, and they get three times the mileage out of their tooling (an expensive part of the production process).

And even then, we're getting three figures that have a basic similarity, but lots of differences. You're not buying the same figure three times. And it's not illogical. These guys are all part of the same ninja team... they use the same Ninja dry-cleaners and order their uniforms in bulk. Why *wouldn't* they look similar?

And if that's what they looked like in the comcs (and it is), why would Neca change that just for the sake of it? Shredder's got his unique helmet, armor, and that little crotch-drape thing. The elite have their cape and hat. And the basic soldier is just that.. the basic body. Neca even threw in a Mouser to spice up the figure, even tho he's an Army Builder all on his own!

I don't think anyone in their right mind can argue these are still some of the best figures ever made, TMNT or otherwise.

If the NECA line has any hope of continuing it's going to have to branch out to original toon stuff. Peter should really let them take that route. It would be a shame to see the line end before a comic Splinter and Casey.

Ha! That's one of the things that kept me away from Wave 1. Somehow I could justify buying four of the same toy when the colors were different -- and when they were way cheaper -- but I couldn't bring myself to do it at that price range. Plus, while the first wave was a great match for the original art, I always preferred the Mirage Turtles as drawn by Lawson or Dooney. Farley's Turtles were pretty wild-looking too!

No u wrong bro i only owned NECA raph,and that is the only one i needed,all the other three look like rip off to me, all the same.

Shredder should come with a cope,without it even the foot ninja looks better than him,and where the heck is his chest? We all knew he spent at least two hrs at the GYM per day inside of technodrome.

If Neca's simply *got* to give us variants of the same body to make the series profitable, I can only see one choice for Wave 3...

Triceratons!
- General Mozar (unique head and arm)
- Triceraton Space Trooper (with helmet and flying gear)
- Triceraton soldier (basic figure with space gun)

And maybe a Fugitoid, but I'd rather Splinter or Casey. If they were able to do a whole wave of new figures, I'd take those three, and a basic Triceraton, and NECA could end it right there as far as I'm concerned.
