What were some of the hints in the IDW series that lead up to Leo joining Shredder?

Shredder sending karai off to capture Leonardo. It happened in issue 14, karai still hasn't caught him.

Because the Shredder specifically ordered Karai to collect Leonardo so that he could force him into joining the Foot Clan.

Here's a plot summary and the panel where Shredder states his intentions of making Leo his second in command.

The book has never really "hinted" that Leo is going to join the Foot as much as it has boldly stated the intent of forceful recruiting for some time.

I personally thought the Foot Clan mini subtly hinted that Leo was going to try to infiltrate The Foot to get closer to Shredder. Although, it's looking more like Kitsune is going to magically turn him.

Which makes ya wonder why she just doesn't do that to everyone. But we'll see!

Ninja Turtles Magazine

Ok, so I've been collecting all of the Ninja Turtles Magazines and I've never seen issues for "Winter 1990" or "Fall 1993". Does anyone know if magazines exist for these or did they arbitrarily skip those months?

Thanks!

Hi,
I've just purchased TMNT#10 Vol.1. I've reread it, and there's sth weird. Pages 19-22 are on completely different paper than the rest of the book. The spread page where you see the face off of Shredder & the guys in the 2nd time around shop is a fold out page.

Is this the way they published it back in the days?! Because it's supposed to be a first print, and this kinda seems odd to me, because the pages 19-22 look like completely new.

Yeah, the fold-out of the Shredder on the different quality paper is the standard for TMNT #10.

Trade reprints removed the fold-out and reworked the image into a two-page splash.

They collect all the guest (non-Eastman/Laird) issues of TMNT Vol. 1 and some short back-up strips on ocassion.

Basically, whatever isn't in the Ultimate Collections.

The TMNT Classics TPBs basically are collecting all the non-Eastman/Laird issues of TMNT Vol. I from Mirage Studios. Pretty much everything that the Ultimate Collection HCs are not.

^^ darn it Spengler...you beat me to it ^^

Given IDW's track record with these Classic collections, I hope they don't skip Masks Part I & II when they get to Classics Vol 7. Seeing as how they skipped stories like Soul's Winter trilogy for absolutely no reason. Instead make way for crappy Spaced Out.

It's pretty hard to find them anymore. If you're looking to just read them you'd be better off getting the collected trades. I say this because the first few issues are really getting up there in price. I just sold my last set of #1 Cover A, B, C, and D for $70. Just sold my last #2 for $25.

Go here for the covers of #1.
