I thought this was kinda fun. Last night, my store opened at midnight to sell ODST, and we spent more time playing TMNT Smash up. And I actually sold a few copies to hardcore halo nerds.

Ok this is going to sound like a stupid question, but how come, if they can make the game for PS2, they aren't coming out with it on PS3 and XBox 360?

Isn't the PS3 backwards conpatable? I mean yeah, it'll be graphically inferior than other games, but the only system really boned by this is the 360. If some one who owned a PS3 and wanted this game, it'd still play on a PS3...right?

Since it's a new game for the PS2, they'd be stupid to make it not playable on a PS3 system. But, as I found out with my recent purchase of an Xbox 360, it's only backwards-compatible with certain games, not all. I've been told that it's the same deal with the PS2/PS3.

Only certain models of the PS3 were backward compatible, but they stopped selling those models over a year ago.

Only the early models have B.C., even then it still might not play.
I won't be getting this till the 1st of October. If anyone wanna make some tournaments, let me know.

We've had the full roster, apparently, for months. The four Turtles, Splinter, Casey, and April to start. Utrominator, Foot Ninja, Nightwatcher, Karai, and Shredder unlocked via selection after completing arcade mode. Fugitoid after beating the first 50 missions, and the three Rabbids.

Yeah you got a point. I think I would rather play a Smash Brothers Game with the TMNT included than a TMNT game including three Rabids...

But you're forgeting...
1)Smash Bros is made for a Japanese audience. TMNT is not that well known in Japan currently. They make this for Japan, not the US. Why else would they keep shoving Japanese excluive game characters in there?
2) TMNT are not video game characters (they just have video games based on them) and Smash Bros has yet to pick any non-video game characters.
3) Even if they did pick a non-video game, non-Japanese character, there'd be about a few hundred characters in front of them starting with Batman, Spiderman, and the like.

Hell, we have a higher chance of Rabbids being in Smash Bros. then the TMNT.

...that's it! That's Ubisoft's plan! They made a TMNT to get Rabbids in Smash Bros.! How dare they!

I spoke with the executive producer dude at the Gamestop vendor show about this, and basically he said that they haven't ruled it out, but they felt that the Wii was the most logical platform to bring the game out on, as more families play games together on the Wii. Depending on how well the game sells, they may look at the possibility of bringing it to other consoles.

Here's hopin'.
