Not much discussion about the actual issue in this thread, was hoping for more. I realize not much happened story wise, but we do learn some very interesting stuff.

Oh and Lawson's art seems much improved when compared to past issues. I like how he drew Casey and Karai in this issue. Too bad that segment was pretty boring (not saying it was bad, it just stinks we'll have to wait so long for the payoff).

Are there letters pages in this issue? The Wowio upload just had some ads in the back... unlike #29 which included letters as well. Maybe I have to shell out a dollar to download the PDF and get them? Has anyone else done this? If there are letters pages, could someone do me a favor and scan them for one sent from a "Josiah" - $10 is pricey for a comic, but if it has my little letter it might be worth snagging for my collection...

I'm surprised about Mike's story. When all 4 Turtle plots were going on at once, I found Mike's the least interesting. It was just random flirting with the Regenta, and didn't seem to go anywhere. But now we're really picking up, and the scene with Mike in prison for like 5 issues is also worth it.

It's still a damn shame that after those Vampires were arrested, we never really found out what the deal was with them. Same with that alien/demon guy who was arrested for making those guardifriend toys.

The only real story that was resolved was Donatello's, even though he's still the "size of an action figure." Raph's story is also over, but he's still mutated.

Leo and Mike seem to have the most interesting ones now, but it takes forever for anything to happen with them.

Finally got mine today. Good build up, looking forward to the next issue.

One thing I would like to compliment on is shipping packaging. Issue #29 came in a floppy envelope which of course came folded and damaged. This time they used a hard envelope and clearly labeled DO NOT FOLD. Due to this the issue arrived in mint condition.

Just wanted to thank NinjaTurtles.com (Mirage) for listening to our complaints and improving this process. Much appreciated.

I agree with you. But when you ain't even making one book per year, it's time to hurry **** up and maybe add some extra pages. Whoever buys these are hardcore collectors, so they won't bitch if the price goes up a tad because of more meat to the story. I know Peter has gotta be a busy dude, but this volume has become synonymous with "lazy".

Nothing too crucial - it was a lot of talk about the 25th anniversary lineup of releases. Some notables off the top of my head... the DTV movie is still in the works and might premiere at the SDCC, a Mirage Universe guidebook could be released in November, fugitoid might be in the upcoming video game, TMNT #31 could actually see print in the next few months (rather than years), and Pete just sent #32 to Jim for penciling. Oh, and it's likely Don will grow big again... Hope that helps.

I'm surprised about your experience with #29. Mine came in a stiff envelope back then and had a slight ripped open corner. Thats with 2 of the old TMNT Collected books (2 & 5) with it. The comic and the books suffered slight damage from that open corner bit. But it was nothing to gripe about.

But if it was sent in a few days after my order, which was as soon as it was put on site, 2 weeks and a few more days is indeed not a short time. I get all my comics and action figures/statues online from US generally and it should have come in 2 weeks max. A bit worried to be honest.

Looks like Raph to me. Also looks kinda evil, like a zombie. Or hungover. I likes!

Dug the issue, quite slow-paced but still enjoyable.

A problem with Vol. 4 is the padding usually.

For example everything in issue #30 could have been done in about 6 pages if he cut out the padding. We could have reached the same conclusions by the end of only 6 pages that took us 28 pages in this comic.

I understand its better to sometimes flesh things out, but when only 28 pages of story comes out every 2 months (or 2 years), its no surprise people lose interest.

As of today I still didn't get it. Its kind of depressing that the darn comic is already online on the TMNT website to read. I'm waiting for the book and yet its only a click away (which I'm not gonna read online).

Mine copy (Europe) still did not arrive either. Its getting lost is bad but its getting lost plus being unable to get another sketched edition cause that they are stock-out is another bad side.
I will not read the free version as well...
boring stuff to look at the screen.

He's willing to push genocide because he was dumped by his one night stand and wrongfully put in jail. It'll be interesting to see if he's serious about his little ordeal or if he'll change his mind or it was a ploy. 2. The Triceratons aren't all ****s. When I think of Triceratons I think crazy violent nazi triceratop mutant alien guys. Now they're going all Star Trek on us. Seriously though they were fleshed out and were shown in a more neutral light than usual. I'm not saying they're good guys now, but they're not as hard ass as the Triceratons from early volume 1. 3. There's going to be an all out alien war, which hopefully will be awesome. Oh and Lawson's art seems much improved when compared to past issues. I like how he drew Casey and Karai in this issue.
