One possibility is that the war in Dimension X spilled over to Earth and the Turtles are created through experimentation sorta like IDW. That, or they're from Dimension X (lame!).

I think everyone just needs to relax and wait for more news. And besides, lets be real. You know damn well you are gonna see it. Regardless of if the turtles are from space or not.

I save going to the theatre for very special occasions, so if I don't like the sound of it, I certainly would'nt go see it. XD

I hope they retitle the movie to Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles because this is not the same franchise to me.

Since I skipped the 2007 movie, I will make a serious attempt to see the 2013 film. Or, just get it on DVD, as that's my preferred choice. Either way, I'll see it, but with tweaked expectations (more than usual).

If the fandom can survive the revisions of "tried to destroy Yoshi with that mutagen," Venus' sudden appearance into the origin and Shredder as an Utrom, this will be no different. Furthermore, maybe the producers figured since the 2003 series made Shredder an alien and people eventually accepted it, they figured, 'hey, why not?'

It's best to wait until the writer chimes in, whenever that is. At least, we're not wanking it up too much, right? Meanwhile, I'll go laugh at Goongasnootch's sig.
