Indeed. It will definitely be a sign, considering Shredder never heard the usage. Only that will tell if Splinter is some odd Army nickname, or a scripting snafu.

After seeing that picture of Yoshi and Saki, seemingly together in a military setting, I'm seriously of the theory that 'shredder' and 'splinter' were their nicknames in their battalion...

...I just wish we could get a closer view of that picture! It's hard to tell, but it looks like Shredder and Splinter were good buddies 'back in the war'... question being Which war. They're younger than other incarnations... And what the heck happened to turn them into such hateful enemies?

Precisely what I think. Splinter and Shredder (or perhaps Japanese equivalents) were their ninja codenames.

It would have to be. In the OT Yoshi was nicknames "Splinter" by the Turtles. In Mirage/4kids/Movies he was named Splinter by Yoshi.

However in this universe he had to get the Splinter name from somewhere other than the Turtles. It already being a codename for him when he was human makes sense.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. I still kinda see Shredder just calling them Dogpound and Fishface for no apparant reason, I would assume for toy purposes, since they're not called Bradford and Xever in stores.

Hell I kinda see Snakeweed and Spider Bytes calling themselves as such if they ever return. And on that note, I'm surprised that Roswell didn't get some new mutant name... I assume because there isn't gonna be a toy made of him.

I'm sorry, but I just didn't like this episode very much. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as last week's of course, but it just didn't draw me in like all the previous episodes did. And while I do love this version of Splinter, he was borderline abusive in this episode. I didn't care for that.

But I guess now we know why Shredder had those random pools of water along the walkway in his throne room this whole time. I'm going to miss the old Xever. Also, Dogpound was alot bigger than I imagined. O.O

This episode just has the problem of being overshadowed by the previous episode. While the scene with the go-karts dragged on a bit too long for my tastes, it was still a solid episode.

How every brother deal with stress: Mike playing jokes with water ballons, Leo training, Raph spreding his anger in the first brother on agree!, and Don working machines!!!! Awesome!

So funny all the water ballons joke/game for me!!!! As Leo stunned said at the end..... WHERE Mikey keep hide the water-ballons!!???? Adorable Mikey!!!!!

Nice to meet Dog-henchman! also the small shoot of Xever in the pond!
If Leo were slapped himself I think I could fall rolling &laughing on the floor!!!

Also I enjoy the Go-Karts...I mean !!! The bugy-patrols! I presume those will be a nice set of toys!!!!!!!

Any easter egg on the number of the van with acid??? I think it was showed so clear! Any meaning or just casualty???

What kind of hats were using the boys on the Go-karts? Mikey was a pilot one...Raph I think its maybe Hockey? And Leo and Don???

Raph was wearing a football helmet and Leo was wearing a baseball helmet.

Mikey has a pilot cap with goggles, Donnie has a black hockey helmet with a white 16 on it, Leo has a blue baseball helmet with a baseball mixed with a skull and Raph has a red football helmet with a white/black/white stripe down the middle and a white thunderbolt on both sides.

I think all of our Splinter/Shredder questions will be answered eventually. I hope to see Splinter and Shredder face off, one on one.

I'd like to think that in this universe, they would still be peers in battle, because Splinter's not so old. Would that be a TMNT first?

Me too. Splinter is, and so is Raph. It's pretty inexcusable to have such violence in families in a kid's cartoon with so little commentary. I just can't let it slide; it seems to get worse in each episode and makes my blood boil.

Examples? I can maaaybe see the "Splinter was taking it too far' argument, but Raph too? Maybe me and my sisters are just wicked abusive to each other or something, but Raph doesn't beat up on his brothers any worse than what you'll find at my house on the average night.
