Come to think of of it, if writers slowly phased out Bebop and Rocksteady in general instead of getting rid of them cold turkey, would anyone even notice or care like 10 years after they completely vanished?

Bebop/Rocksteady will never be forgotten. Even Rahzar/Tokka are forever immortalized due to the second movie.

It's actually Fishface/Dogpound and maybe Tiger Claw that may have end up being discarded after the Nick 2012 era if nobody else uses them again. None of them even appeared in the IDW comics after all this time.

I don't see Fishface and Dogpound appearing again, especially since Dogpound became Rahzar. Which is a shame but 2012 just had too many henchmen, it should've never used R&B even if they did a good job with them.

Tiger Claw I can definitely see appearing again, he is only one and can work in many different ways.

When Mung brings up Shredder and Krang, he doesn't mention Bebop and Rocksteady. So lone is left to believe that Mung either forgot, Bebop and Rocksteady had split from Shredder and Krang, or they weren't as important to Mung's story and Dregg's conceived plan to bring them to Earth and drain their life energy. I wouldn't suggest that Mung forgot; just Bebop and Rocksteady were beneath Shredder and Krang and not not necessary to the overall story or plan.
