Or most other comic to cartoon/movie. Although there were Batman minis in the 40's I believe. Superman too.

I admit, I was making a semi-generalized view on comic to franchise situations, but The Turtles was included in my statement. Usually, since the source comics are graphic novels, they are toned down for family entertainment big money franchise opportunities.

Back to topic;

I have noticed that a lot of people were first introduced to the 80's cartoon. Though with the insanity that became Turtlemania, I am not surprised it lingers on from there.

18 about to be 19 but it was about all I watched growing up

I have a strong dedication to the original series and 2k3 and live action films. Even enjoyed TNM. Pretty much only thing within the franchise i didn't like is the new series

Hmm, wonder why is 36 as high as it goes to get to the 'and over' business? Me and 18 other people so far old enough to have been at least 10 during season one of the good ol' OT.

29. i notice that the prices of these items are going up as the generation that grew up with them are now coming into money. im sure prices will drop off too as our generation starts to get too old for these collectibles. if that ever happens

Lucky number 21 for me. Came to the OT very late and watched mostly the VHS my cousins or siblings had (which I destroyed after constant abuse of the rewind button) Almost missed the Next mutation my first introduction being Power Rangers in Space. Then 2k3 came along which me and my bros. watched religeously, afterwards in 2004 during the 2nd season we discovered the Mirage Comics.

I'll be 29 next week, I've grown up with the turtles and that doesn't look like stopping any time soon!

Yes, I think we're completely aware of that by now considering how many times you rip into it.

This guy is trolling everything with regards to his views on the Nick show.
It got boring along time ago...

It seems if you grew up with the original cartoon/movies you're in your late 20's or early 30's.

If you grew up with the 4kids cartoon you're in your early 20's.

And the kids watching the Nick cartoon now are either on Nick's forum or too young to come online.
