I loved Relaxation even better than Boys Night Out because Splinter was so completely innocent and he looked so...uh...guilty. I hope he nails whoever that magazine belongs to.

((I still think Boy's Night Out is my favorite, it was so fun to shock everyone. I love reading the feedback on it! But Relaxation is working out nicely too.))
Well, maybe you can both give me an opinion. I was originally going to have Splinter doing a couple extra things to shock them when they got home. Probably watching something immature and drinking beer. Sort of to knock them a bit more off kilter. But now I've started thinking that I won't do that. I'll have him relaxing, watching TV, but doing nothing particularly un-Splinterish. I figure they'll feel a lot more sheepish if he's presenting his normal respectable demeanor. Thoughts? |

What Machias said is true, but if you're looking to unbalance the guys than I think keeping Splinter's demeanor serious is the way to go anyway. It may seem too funny if they came home and he was having a beer. (although Leo would probably pass out)

Actually, that's pretty much how I originally wrote it. Leo saw him drinking the beer and was reduced to a gibbering turtle once more (I've been being rather mean to him in this fic, poor guy). But now I'm sure I want to go with the "Serious Sensei".

Go with the serious sensei, then, when the truth is revealed, he can turn into 'Drill Sargeant Sensei'...

Why are people obsessed with turning Leo into a gibbering idiot? Poor turtle. |

I do think Leo does often get a rather hard time from Fic writers. I think that's cause he's easy to pick on. He's the "Good one". You want to show that he's not perfect. I've really not written a whole lot with him because I don't relate to him well. I'm a Mikey kinda girl. Wild and Crazy!

LOL! Poor Leo. It's fun trying to catch him off guard. I've got a line I just have to throw into a fic somewhere (and luckily I have a character in mind who would say this.) The new leader of the New York Foot, a woman, is trying to make a truce/alliance with the Turtles. Of course, Leo doesn't trust her and thinks "she has something up her sleeve." Her response? "You can frisk me if it'll make you feel better." It'll sound better written out in its entirety.
Ooh, and I promise to read your new story, SC, a bit later today. I would have yesterday, but my friends dragged me off to talk about moving plans, and only managed to convince me even further that I do not want to move out with them. |

Ooo.. even Dooney did something similar to him in the Challenges book. Leo comes off sounding all prim and proper, then at the end, Raph storms in wondering who signed him up for the Barry Manilow fanclub. Leo just falls over in laughter instead of trying to hide the fact. |

I think I need Azure to threaten me with his katana. I should be working on "Relaxation" right now, but I'm not.

Hmm...I don't have a katana, but I have a butter knife. Would that be a good threat?
