I found official pictures of those Throw and Battle Turtles...

Yeah....do not want. The only turtle variants that have impressed me so far are the Stealth Tech ones. Oh, also found pics of these upcoming vehicles:

The throw and battle Turtles remind me a lot of the Ninja Action Turtles of '93. The remote controlled Shellraiser is looking more and more like the Pizza Thrower (which, coincidentally, is on the Bay for $89). I wonder if the box art for the new Shellraiser will be better than that of the Pizza Thrower.

Bleh I continue to dislike what Playmates does with their 'deluxe' line... they always look... bad... that's the nicest way I can put it.

I don't mind deluxe figures all that much. At least, they will be sold to the side of the basic wavers much like the Wacky Action figures were.The mutagen ooze throwing turtles are doing more damage to the line overall. I do not like when toy companies release variants too early. The stealth turtles will not help matters. The line has not even taken off yet. Now, there are over ten Scooping Ooze Donatellos warming the pegs. Worse of all, people are complaining about the lack of Dogpounds and Fishfaces in stores. The toyline is only in its sophomore year. Thank goodness Playmates never released the Sewer Sports All-Stars in 1989. That would not have gone nicely at all.

I don't think they're doing any damage at all. They generally sell proportionately to the amount of ooze available in stores. The foreign releases with the ooze included solves that problem, so it's just a matter of getting more cases of ooze to retail this fall.

There's no major gift holiday until Christmas, so don't expect product to suddenly disappear. I've seen two Snakeweed cases unloaded at just one store locally in the past three weeks, so there's going to be a bit more inventory to mow through before Rat King debuts. It also means people catching up before Season 2 have never had a better time to find a nearly complete set of figures on the pegs.

Personally, if you plan to keep these figures MOC your going to have an extremely difficult time looking for a mint blister card and it amazes me how sometimes online I see these figures in the blister card and the blister card looks to be in excellent condition with no flaws whatsoever.

If you plan on taking these figures out of their package then you shouldn't have to worry. I asked not too long ago if someone who plans to keep these figures in their package, if the blister cards having bents, dents and white on them will loose the value of the figure and all the responses mainly said that I shouldn't rack my brain looking for mint condition blister cards. And to be honest it's a real pain in the ass. Even on eBay, most buyers have awful looking blister cards and have this notion that everyone plans to open their figures and not keep in the package. In relation to your story, I had to return a Snakweed I bought on eBay because the blister card on the back of the bio had several white marks on the side.

I am sorry your Snakeed was missing a leg. That must be very irritating. The only flaw I have with my Snakweed is that their are a few white nicks on his is vines (the two that are attached in front and on the side of him) and wanted to know if anyone's Snakeweed has the same problem ?

You're never, ever guaranteed to find "mint" cards at retail. They've been stacked in carts, handled, and probably dropped a few times before you even got there. If you're that concerned, buy your figures by the case from a reputable direct shipper. You'll be the only person who ever touches them after they leave China.

And if you think that's too expensive (16 extra Turtles per box!), then just collect photographs of carded figures. They'll never age, get dirty, or dent, and it's really inexpensive. You can even print them out extra-large and frame them if you want.

Expecting otherwise is like expecting your clothes to never get wrinkled. But they do, that's what living looks like.

at my local TRU today (Indy) i found 3 sets of the classic turtles but no BB or RS. the guy there told me they havent gotten any in yet. but it was nice to see the classics back on the shelf. it won't be long i hope

I emalied them much earlier than that, probably about 3 months ago. It's very possible that the release date has changed, but I think they'll be out in late August/early September just like the first wave of figures were.

Haven't posted here in a while and although this isn't a toy confirmation of him I hope he does get a toy eventually. Its great that Slash/ Spike is going to be on the show as good guy at that so I am really excited to see if Playmates will make him.

Is there a place to put the grappling hooks on the turtle when not in use?

Are the specs/goggles removable?

Finally picked up The Rat King and Cockroach Terminator, really like both the figures. The cockroaches antenna snap in very securely which is a plus, I don't see them falling out ever, much tighter fit than LHs tail.
