I wonder if there's a soul out there who still plays Smash Up.

Been wanting to play someone badly. Offline is impossible because nobody takes this game seriously. And Online, I can't ever find anybody.

Would be awesome(ly unrealistic) if we could kick up a tournament sometime, perhaps as we wait for TMNT: Ouf of the Shadows to premiere.

Would love to test my skill against human players. CPUs tend to get boring overtime. (Not as boring as Brawl's for some reason though).

I play it on the wii whenever I remember I have that thing, mostly a ps3 playing so and so. I'm pretty bad though, only can handle the computer on some of the lower levels of difficulty. And I never got past that one western themed challenge, the one where you shoot a bull or something. Shoot him with what?

You press L and your character will guard while a crosshair appears on the center of the screen. Then you move it around the screen with the joystick, and I think you "fire" with A.

This triggers some stage objects. It also toggles between items, and it splits a full Pizza into 4 slices.

Oh thank you I'll try that, we shoot with the wii remote not the character who doesn't have a gun. That makes sense I guess.

I do have this game myself as well, have only really played it with one friend online. I'm open to testing my skills at it with other people once in a while if it ever comes up. It's still pretty fun and enjoyable.

The sheer missed potential of a SSB clone with Turtles, with a paltry selection of characters, some rather obscure. Laird is probably to blame as he despised the memorable OT characters, which is what people would most likely want.

No! No it isn't! It's barely worth 10 bucks!

I had fun with it, but it's really bare-bones. I recently went back to it, figuring there had to have been more stuff I didn't do with it, since I only remembered playing it for like a day. Sadly, nope. It's OK, but there's not a lot of game to it, and once you're done with it the replay value is kind of minimal.

I think I got it used for about $20. I don't think I'd go above that. I think the high used prices are because most people who bought it are big TMNT fans who wouldn't get rid of it. Otherwise it'd probably be easily found for $5-10.

haha, spamming the wall attack is the secret to 100-man Survival mode. Although it can be fun to wait around for random CPU opponents to spawn and them grapple them into a devastating execution.

I don't play much online, but I always got my butt kicked when I did. Today's gamers' skills have really passed me by, I suppose.

It needed to do more than mimic SSB's play style; those games have a lot of different modes to encourage replays, and a decent-sized roster to play with. Smash-Up has neither. What's there is OK, but it's really not a lot, overall.

Wouldn't have hurt to have a better selection of characters like Smash Bros. as well.

That one was certainly tough! I forget who I finally ended up using to pull that off. The official game strategy manual recommended using Casey's grab attack for knocking opponents far away from the platform, but I think I lose so many times that I finally just started using the Utrominator and using his machine gun fire to deter the CPU from jumping back.
