Wildfires are currently raging in the forests of Russia following a heatwave. Firefighters are struggling to prevent the fires from spreading.

Sad, Russia has way too much natural land to risk losing, hope it gets contained fairly quickly.

It happens every year and our government does almost nothing to help local firemen. It is much more important to build another palace for Putin, than preserve Russian forests. Especially, since quite a lot of them bought by China.

Most people hate that midget to one degree or the other and absolute majority knows that he is a thief, but no-one wants to do anything about it.

Russians are extremely apathetic people, due to the legacy of being "commodity" under nobles in Tsarist times and due to massive propaganda in Soviet times.

It doesn't help, that every time, when Russians successfully brought down current oppressive regime, they received something worse in its stead, first with batshit lunatics-Bolsheviks, than with Young Democrats, who were acting like a roof for Yeltsin's gang, which was stealing and selling Soviet stuff to the West.

This is why most people here just prefer not to interfere into anything and wait until current Tsar dies and his regime crumbles hoping that the next one will be better.

People who have no patience for this **** immigrate, others just prefer to be quiet.
