Shout! Factory now has their own listing for it, and they're offering a poster with it. It was originally scheduled for release January 25th, but now the release date is to be determined.

So what was the reason Disney sold the Power Rangers IP back to Haim Saban? It still surprises me to this day since that's a very "non-Disney" thing to do.

Perhaps Haim was very persuasive, or Disney just never cared much for the franchise. Or a combination of both.

Disney never actually wanted to continue making PR, they had to be persuaded by shifting it to cost-effective New Zealand, they also found attempts to reinvent it difficult due to Toei being difficult.

Rumors say Disney wanted to make a PRs cartoon but Toei said no. As to why Disney sold PRs it's up to rampant speculation and no real evidence. Me personally I think there must've been something in the contract that Disney didn't like because TOEI had certain rights or whatever so they thought it was better to sell off than to keep in the disney vault to rot.

They didn't see any real value in it clearly, and it sold under 100 million which is more than what Nick paid for the TMNT which was 60. In any case it was good since Disney was clearly done with PRs and even if we all hate the Neo Saban/Hasbro era it's better than having the franchise die.

I loved the Disney years personally, it's when I got back into the franchise. Hell I even liked it when they did the halfassed Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reversion / remaster.

One of the earliest plans for Dino Thunder was to introduce another Ranger, they thought there was footage to use for that, but Toei neglected to tell them that "Triassic mode" was just a power-up, so they had to ditch plans to turn the comedy character Devin into that Ranger.

PRs already has a shared universe. I'm guessing these will be reboots, let's see what it is before we judge. I still hope we get an adaptation of sentai even if strictly for "kids".

Announced that not only will Kamen Rider Kuuga manga will be getting an English release, but an all new American comicbook series by Stonebotcomics starring Kamen Rider Zero-One will begin.

I have not kept up with new Kamen Rider series in many years so maybe I"m wrong but isn't Zero-One like a new version of decade for the Neo-Heisei era? Was the series any good? Decade is my favorite rider btw.

Zi-O was the new Decade. Zero-One was the one to follow Zi-O.

Zero-One was pretty good, but it did suffer because of COVID.
