IDW Series Sourcebook?
Will there ever be a sourcebook for the main IDW continuity, similar to how Archie had a set of sourcebooks and we almost got one for Mirage? A Last Ronin one would be nice too, and maybe also an appendix for Amazing Adventures content. Or are IDW in too deep trouble to get a new sourcebook out?

No pun intended, but what's the source on this? I can't find details anywhere.

"An epic journey through TMNT's history" it says. Are we to take that to mean that, or "An epic journey through IDW TMNT's history"?

I just read this whole thing, it was well put together of the early years of IDW. They left out everything about Krang and the Neutrinos so I imagine that's all being saved for the second issue. This one was all about Shredder, Splinter and the Foot Clan, and profiles for some of the turtles friends and Old Hob and the Mutanimals.
Re-reading it reminded me of how many plotlines this series went through. |

I've been making my way slowly through the first installment, looking forward to picking up the second one this week.
Although once they're all out I may swap them for a TPB or hardcover

What is also weird is a lot of character profiles were skipped. Like Dr. Miller has some quotes on some of the articles but Dr. Miller himself got no profile. Also Ocho that mole demon aligned with Karai didn't get a profile despite them covering the events of the mini she got her sword that introduced him.
Yet Burne Thompson of all people got an entire page to himself when he was just a minor cameo character in IDW. |

I really don’t like how Sophie Campbell draws April ONeil like a completely different person. Everytime I see a recent issue by her or the cover of sourcebook 2 I think “who the hell is that? Oh yeah it’s Sophie’s fat fetish April.”

It shouldn't even be possible for April to be fat. What with running around with the guys on adventures and all.
It's funny how in the last generation, the big push was to make April into like a fighter (like in the Archies and 2007 movie), a woman who can defend herself and isn't any weakling and can even wield a katana... but now, the push is just to make April fat, black, and weird. Really puts into perspective the values of these "modern" storytellers.

I completely agree. I wouldn’t look at her and think that she could hold her own during some type of attack or even be able to escape if Baxter or some one sent a bunch of evil robots after her.

It's weird she draws her fat on the cover when in the issues she doesn't do that. You can look at issue 149 that just came out that April is in and she's thin. I guess with covers you can take "creative liberties" since they are not really canon scenes. But I'm willing to bet Sophie would make April fat if she could get away with it.

I don’t think Sophie worked on the interiors of that book, but I remember when she was doing interiors last she was drawing her like that. That’s when I first started to notice. I’ll have to check the numbers.

Yeah she's not the artist but given she's the writer she could have told the artists to draw her like that. Remember she was the one who wanted April to get a short haircut back in Waltz run during the April/Casey mini-series and it was written into the story.
