Patreon poster from Ben Bishop.
Spoiler:

And if anyone is interested, Cory Smith is taking commissions. I have him booked for a sketch cover.

Not familiar with him, but it's a cool piece. I like the IDW/Mirage/Nick aesthetics. The TMNT are lucky in that their many styles blend together seamlessly. Looking forward to seeing what you get from CS, I got a dope Dark Leo piece from him at NYCC in 2013, he kills it. Would love to get something else from him given he's only gotten doper & become more prominent among the cast of creators on the IDW book, but I'm not in a position to right now, of course.

He hasn't done official work for turtles, but hopes to and does a lot of really solid TMNT pieces. I patreon him so he sends me nice prints every month. Here's to supporting promising artists.

Your Smith piece is sick! I also commissioned a Dark Leo, which he said he would be more than happy to do. I was also going to get a Bebop and Rocksteady done, but I'm holding off because I'm 90% positive that issue #44 is going to have pages that I'm going to be buying.
I'm hoping to get a few sketches from him on FCBD when he's at my store. I reeeaaally like his stuff.

I just really got into collecting art (really just commissions) in the past year or so my collection is pretty thin but here's my TMNT related commission I got from Dario Brizuela last year.

Dude! That is so rad! I'm not a huge fan of Dario's Nick TMNT, but he does a bang up job on the mutant characters. Awesome. Dunno that we'll ever see Slash in AA, so that's a treat.

Any thoughts on the final price of the page that sold today from issue 7?

I ask because I'm willing to bet nobody picked up on the semi-provenance of the page. Good deal IMO...

I had it on my watch list....just to see what it would go for. I am very surprised of the price. I think the fact that the seller did not know or list the issue hurt the price significantly.

Anyone here snag it?

I did. Wasn't expecting to win it, but am obviously glad I did. I thought it might have been a lack of turtles, something that doesn't bother me. I'm more into it for the history aspect.

Buying the page from Denis Kitchen, the person who purchased Tundra from Eastman, is a pretty nice bonus. I don't know if he bought it from Kevin, but will ask him at East Coast con in April.

Neat. You snagged one with the bots that the Konami games took cues from. I dig it!

I placed a bid, but since I'm looking at getting a couple of other pieces, I didn't bid as high as I otherwise would've. Also it ended in the middle of the day while I was at work, so couldn't be there to place any last minute bids. I placed my high bid before I left for work. Good deal sofistocat!

I think it's a beautiful page with some nice action shots. I suspect it went for a lower price because it doesn't have any major characters. I'm also a fan of non-turtle pages. They often go for cheaper and can also be really nice pieces.

All I'll say Sofistocat is, you're lucky I'm getting married soon. I wanted that page and was willing to go to $500!!!! HAHAHA, seriously though, congrats on that page. It's a beaut, and from my favorite story arc too.

I've been offered a page from issue #50 (first issue of City at War). I suspect it's been offered around before, as I'm trying to dig in my head about seeing it posted in the past. What would be a fair price for a page from that issue in your opinion folks?

Yep definitely depends on content but general speaking CAW remains very affordable considering the high regards of the storyline. Its only a matter of time IMO before it gets its due
