Thank you for sharing the pic, Mikey0. They are charming, but going to have to stick to just the turtles for now.

I'm not sure I can really understand the meaning of this ReAction line. What these figures are supposed to be? Cheap version of the main line? How much does one of these figures cost?

This series is an homage to early Kenner toylines. So think of it as a what-if kinda thing for those who grew up with or otherwise appreciate that aesthetic.
I was a 90's kid so it doesn't quite resonate with me, though I do think it's a nifty gimmick. Just wish the price reflected the articulation limitations & stuff.

Think of them as TMNT figures from the very early 80s into the mid 80s like the original Kenner Star Wars line. They’re supposed to be 5 points of articulation figures like many of the 3 3/4 action figures sold from 1978 to 1985. One figure will be $17.99. These will be on 6 by 9 inch cards. I"ve gotten a few reaction figures, not a huge fan since I didn't grow up in that era but I can find some of the charm in the figures and sadly it's the only way to get certain characters in figure form.
I do wish they had better prices and/or articulation, I love 3.75" figures and you know what, if they do some cool characters I'd definitely get some TMNT ones, I don't like the ones shown so far but if undercover don looks any good, I'll be getting him. |

Snippets from the front of the cards for Raphael, Leonardo, Bebop, and Rocksteady can all be seen here:

I'd get them all if they weren't so bloody expensive! They're just $2 less than Hiya's super detailed, articulated 3.75" Injustice 2 line which actually comes with stuff like alternate heads and hands and s**t.

It's been my ardent belief for decades now that a masterfully done 3 3/4" TMNT collection would be a huge hit, and everything collectors ever wanted - articulation, appropriate scaling, amazing vehicles, weapons packs, etc.
This line isn't it. |

Definitely. The more I see these, the more I like them. Wouldn't mind to at the very least get the turtles... if they were around ten bucks or less a pop. But as you say, the present cost is hard to justify. Oh well.

So these are supposed to be Kenner-style Turtles, it all makes sense now, thank you.
What I don't really understand is the shape of Raphael's sais, it's odd, very different from the original. I kinda like this ReAction line, I'm starting to appreciate it even more than the main Super7 Turtles line. These Rocksteady and Bepop are probably one of the best version of them I've ever seen. |

The lineups for the MOTU Ultimates line were different from the ones for the ReAction figures, therefore it should be the same routine for the TMNT Ultimates and ReActions. The 90s revival will obviously be mainstream in the 2020s, so the 2020s should be a good time for TMNT fans. Last edited by mikey0; 10-14-2019 at 09:30 PM. |

What's with that price? Aren't ReAction figures usually $10 apiece? I can't imagine this line doing well at $18, that's as much as Walmart charges for Marvel Legends!
Shame, because I dig that Bebop and Rocksteady. I'd definitely be into this line at a lower price point. I think they would also really benefit from collector-friendly packaging. These things are made to be displayed on the retro card but I can't stand sealed collecting. |

I am also finding it hard to get past the $18 price. I was hoping for $10-$12 and would have gotten two of each, one to open and one to display packaged assuming the packages are great. Now for $18 I am apprehensive to buy any
Seeing that the Ultimate line are also more $ then I was hoping I might not pull the trigger on any Super 7 stuff. |
