No, you probably did read right itinially as it was insdeed on the choppijng block. However, the biggest thing about this final season is that most if not all supporting characters have been axed.

Anyways, the final season was a last minute decision with a very short episode list. I can't remember exactly how many.

Didn’t mean it like that, I meant it like how many will be cut away. And I could see it being a minimum of 10 episodes, seems to be the new norm with programs

No no, that's pretty misleading. A lot of supporting characters have been axed... as REGULARS. Meaning, as a pay scale and in presumably the opening credits. There is nothing saying any one of the supporting cast members won't show up at all. Just, expect less of them than in previous seasons.

Pretty sure the show was going to end anyway, it's a relic of the CW era. The new movie likely has nothing to do with it.
