Where is Sneefee?
I believe most people know who Sneefee is, she's pretty famous for her TMNT and Transformers fan arts.
But recently I think she sort of disappear off the radar. Her website is also down. Anyone have any idea? |

I adored her work and was really sad she just dropped off the map. She had been updating her personal site for a little bit, but even that stopped.

Last I knew she had simply moved onto other things. Some of her last updates seem as if she just simply lost interest in TMNT, at least on an artwork standpoint. Which is a real shame.

Back in June, she put an announcement on one of her Tumblr accounts, saying that she was pulling down her website, since she no longer had time to take care of it. I believe she said that she was moving her stuff to a site called Inkbunny (looks like that's a "furry" site, maybe?)
I was disappointed when she closed her Deviantart account; she is a talented artist. This may have nothing to do with it, but there have been issues in the past with people at Deviantart harassing artists who draw "turtlecest". That may have driven some artists away?

If that's what she enjoyed doing then she should've continued. No sense going through life being miserable not doing what you enjoy all because some people don't like what you do. I may not like some of the other weird fan art floating around out there but as long as it's not official, it doesn't matter.

Sometimes the healthier option is just to opt out if the fans of a franchise is so hostile and full of vitriol that they start giving you death treats for "playing with your toys wrong". I don't know if that happened to Sneefee, but I've seen it happen with other TMNT fan-artists where they quit their username and stopped drawing Turtles completely.
It's not just Turtles, just recently there's been Steven Universe fan-artists that's gotten death threats for drawing characters differently and one artist got so much online harassment from a Dream Daddy fan piece the game developers had to intervene... |
