IDK... the voice acting sounds a little too 'intense' for such a simplistic artistic design. She looks literally lifeless in that thumbnail pic.

Seahawk is apparently in this reboot also, and while he didn't appear much in the Filmation series, he was always intended as Adora's love interest. In fact, the old Son of He-Man series bible specifically cited them as raising Adam and Teela's son together. Things could change of course.

IF this is a SJW She-ra, as all signs point to, don't expect any romance. these types of shows usually don't allow it.
sigh. I miss the days when things where normal. now everything is majorly political. it's impossible to discuss things without it.

Destiny eh... original n'est-ce pas?!
I think it looks OK - the animation is fine. It's nice and colourful. Her voice is a little bit too (this sounds dumb even before I say it) normal. She sounds like a YouTube makeup vlogger rather than a cool fantasy princess. OG She-Ra sounded more regal and well spoken. More like a hero and less like a teenager complaining about the slow service at a local juice bar. Nitpicks though, I'm sure kids will like it.

She is a teenager that hasn't quite become a hero yet, so...there's that.
I think it looking fine for what it is. And while the acting is a little hammy, it's a nice way to carry some of the spirit of the original cartoon. And I do think that there will be sprinklings of, shall we say "sliced ham". Meanwhile, I wonder why there hasn't been a reveal for the design of the villains.

NYCC ComicCon Panel Details
-None of the actors had ever seen the original show -Aimee watched older episodes of the show on Youtube -Adora and Catra's relationship defines the show's lighter and darker sides -Bo and Glimmer have a fun grounded/visiting dynamic -Adora's eyes are opened to the Hoarde's evils by Bo and Glimmer, but she is conflicted, not knowing what is truly good or evil, and has loved ones on both sides -Shadow Weaver is quite fond of Adora, and prefers her to Catra -Catra takes Adora's place as captain of the Hoarde -First season is more serialised and focuses on world building and forging alliances. -Bow has two dads |

Sigh.
and this new cast throwing shade at the original series. I wonder if ANY of them where really fans to start with? somehow, I doubt it. Seems just like another series ruined by SJW/Tumblerites.

I like the concept of Adora having genuine friends in the Horde before leaving, which causes future conflict. The original series was too black and white evil where none of the bad guys liked each other and were always stabbing each other in the back.
The look applies to today's kids. It just kinda sucks that this is what today's kids like. Also I see no reason why this couldn't ve on network television. Something on Netflix should be way more grandiose, ambitious and adult

The animation looks cheap and She-Ra looks absolutely awful and yet I'd almost be interested in checking it out despite that since the story trailer seemed interesting enough, but I feel the SJW message will be shoved down your throat.

Full disclosure, He-Man (and She-Ra by association) was a huge chunk of my early childhood, so I'm absolutely going to be among the most critical about these kinds of things. Won't be watching it, but maybe if it does well a new He-Man series might get pitched somewhere. That's really the best I could hope for.

I don't know how to describe it, but it looked a bit choppy at parts and others reminded me of the american speed racer cartoon. The trailer had no SJW message but the character designs, bo having to dads, the woman in charge of the show seems to have an agenda like we've seen it ruin other shows integrity for the sake of those messages. Now, I do think She-Ra of all shows should have a girl empowerment message, this isn't catering to those 40 year olds who grew up with He-Man in the 80s.
