I don't own a modern Hi-Def gaming system, so I can't get too excited about awesome new titles. But I totally want to play this game if for no other reason than the inclusion of Pac-Man and "American Box Art Mega Man!"

PAX East 2012
I know that PAX East is next month, but I would like to know if any forum members would be going.

This was heavily weighed in my house this year. My fiance and I decided instead on a road trip to Flo-rida which would hook us up with my boyz and we'd all hit Universal.
More excited for that than I'd ever be for PAX. |

After about three years of bad luck, I just replaced my XBOX and ME 1 and 2, plus 3. So excited. Gonna play till I pass out!

Best Buy and Target are offering $50 gift cards to those who buy a Wii U from them. I'd take advantage of that offer, but I'd have to buy it on credit, and I'm in enough debt as it is.
Best Buy had a similar promotion in late 2011 where they'd also offer a $50 gift card for getting a 3DS. I took advantage of it even though I'd have to buy it on credit, but at least the 3DS doesn't cost as much. Besides, I knew what two games I wanted for it, so the gift card really came in handy. I bought the two games later on when they had this promotion where you could buy two games and get one free. I chose Super Mario 3D Land as my free game, and sold it to get some money back. |

I beat Pikmin 3 this morning. I had dreams of collecting fruit, got up at 6 and finished around 10. Just under 10 hours. I didn't want to beat it, but I didn't realize I was at the end. Easily the most absorbed I've been in a game in...years. Playing it gave me a feeling I hadn't gotten from a game since the first Galaxy. It's a shame the last "area" of the game is so rushed and obnoxious, because outside of that and a handful of quirks, the game is excellent.
The game looks gorgeous in motion and really excites me for future Nintendo output. They managed to make some of the best looking games of last-gen with a significantly under-powered console and Pikmin 3 shows they'll once again do the same thing. Just talking about it makes me want to play more. I'm going back to collect fruit and explore areas I couldn't get into the first go round later on, something I haven't done in a game in years. I'm happy to be enjoying something so fully again. |

Would you say its better than Pikmin 2? Does it have underground cave areas like Pikmin 2 did?

I like it way more than Pikmin 2, because the level of polish is at an all-time high. It's a realization of what the first Pikmin wanted to be. There are caves, but there's no underground "area" like in 2.
