Velma's original classic design in 1969 was awful with that short rounded hair, but modern takes on the character modernized her design a bit where she looks better. Velma being a lesbian is actually fine because she always looked like one.

Unless you're dismissing bisexual chicks and only referring to straight-up "Lesbians". In which case yeah, some of them are pretty rough. You still get a Jodie Foster once in a while, though. "Ellen Page" was a hot lesbian, too.

I think I use stereotypes for dramatic effect a lot better than you do.
