My hype shot way up for this. As I mentioned in my previous post...now it really seems like the Freedom Fighters/SatAm universe could be part of this. In someway at least.

I know it’s not confirmed but Im just saying they own the rights to it (and Adventures of), it’s based on the multiverse and it’s basically a 30th Anniversary cartoon. I’m not the only one speculating this either.

This could be Turtles Forever but with Sonic. A whole season of it. So much to barrow from. I hope that’s the direction they’re going.

So far they’ve only mentioned the Sega world. Not necessarily the cartoons. Even though Sega does own them I assume.

It’s hard not to speculate given everything but if they’re just using the games and whatever the new stuff is it should still make for a good show.

Even something like Epic Mickey would be really cool. Sonic having to restore alternate dimensions. Coincidentally one of Sonic’s early designs was a bunny.

The new stuff will probably be the focus but I cannot help but think of what they might use from the past. The games have plenty to choose from.

Eh, we'll see if they're that smart. A lot of times companies do something that the fans assume they will because it makes the most sense but then the company comes out with the exact opposite because 'that's what you kids want nowadays, right?'

I mean in the games they already separated Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic into two realities (I think it was in Sonic Forces) even when they were supposed to be past and present, and then we have Sonic Boom. Plus you know cartoons, they're gonna made up stuff too like CyberPunk Sonic, Prehistoric Sonic and whatever else.

I much sooner assume we're gonna see 'prime Sonic' meet 'Boom' Sonic before we see Princess Sally, Scratch and Grounder again. But hey I won't complain if they have the balls to do it.

I have a feeling this show will be directly linked to whatever the new game is supposed to be and Sega wants to have everything "in line". So they'll form a classic and modern universe so it works for them in future games since right now it's kind of messy after Sonic Forces.

They're also replacing all the voice actors with new roles so everything is "in line". Sega has always done this, they replaced all the voice actors with the Sonic X VAs so it'd be the same voice everywhere and later did it again when they didn't want "one voice" for sonic about ten years ago. So they're starting it again and want everything making sense. Which this last paragraph doesn't re-reading it.

Sally is who I primarily want too. If they acknowledge SatAm but only Sally appears I’ll still be happy. She was the main character after Sonic anyway.

Some have said they won’t use the old cartoons because it’s cgi but they can easily make them a 2D universe like Nick did with FW. 3D cgi Sally would amazing but technically not necessary.

My biggest fear is they do acknowledge SatAm but only as stock footage like Turtles Forever did with the multiverse sequence. It was ok in a 1 time movie but Sonic Prime is getting 24 episodes. Maybe more.

I’m sure Sega and the show creators are aware of what’s being discussed so I’m glad SatAm is getting attention. Even if they don’t use it.

Generally written as a much more interesting (and competent) character than Sonic in the cartoons and comics, too.

By Season 2, that show was more or less "The Adventures Of Princess Sally and Her Stupid Idiot Sidekick Who She Only Tolerates Because He's Occasionally Useful And Also Because He Gives Her A Lady-Boner (It's Mostly That And Less The First Thing - He's Only Useful by Accident And 'Occasionally' Is Pushing It)."

That title would be way too long.... but completely accurate. She did all the work, all Sonic did was crack wise and blow plans to hell thanks to his impatience. Things generally worked out in the end, but... that was like 20% Him and 80% Her, if we're really being honest about it.

Yeah the older I get the more I realize TV almost always shows the woman as the smart one while the boyfriend/husband/potential suitor (which I think Sonic sorta falls in) is the idiot, or at least the one with least common sense. I think in Sonic's case it's kinda worse cause HIS name is on the show and it's based on HIS game where Sally doesn't even exist.

Like nothing would get a show cancelled (both real-life cancelled and social media witch hunt cancelled) faster if we saw a male and female duo where the guy is the Brain and the woman is Pinky. That's pretty much why they almost recreated Harley's character in modern media because she originally was the 'dumb bimbo sidekick' to Joker's plans in 'The Animated Series' so naturally now they gotta make her smarter and 'need no man' 'girl power' etc.

Though it's tough for me to talk, I'm not exactly the smartest and most relationships I ever been in, I'm the one with all the antics and mischief. But I mean, that can't be everyone right? There's gotta be some relationships out there where the guy is 'the smart one' and in the lead, right?
