Full Cover

Link

What's It About? This is a sixteen-minute trim of the 1980s X-Men pilot episode "Pryde of the X-Men" which minimises Stan Lee's narration, cuts the commercial fade outs, and, as the title suggests, cuts out any and all instances of Aussie Wolverine speaking.

The quality admitedly isn't the best (Sourced from an old VHS tape I attained from a stateside friend), but I was able to render it in high def.

Uploaded to Mega and will be availible on Vimeo probably tomorow. PM me for link

What's this about? : Basicly this is a trim of the 1999 Inspector Gadget movie starring Matthew Broderik and Rupert Everett. It's a pain to sit through (as I discovered once again when I decided to embark on this project), but there are moments of it that I have always kind of liked, so I took all the moments I either enjoyed or had to keep to maintain a strong narrative flow and whittled the whole thing down to just fifteen minutes

Key differences in the edit are

-No origin
-No Robobrenda
-No romance (other than some implying at the end)
-Claw's face isnt revealed

I borrowed a sequence from Inspector Gadget II for the climax (Claw's escape), the title sequence was borrowed from a fan mash-up on Youtube, which was suggested to me by Fanedit.org users

PM for the Vimeo link

Remember after I completed my TMNT movie script I was going to write a Captain Planet one? Well, I decided to go one better and do a fanedit of several episodes instead. Captain Planet: Scorched Earth

What's this about? It's a fanedit of four Captain Planet episodes centering on the Planeteer's struggles against Zarn, the former spirit of the Earth and rival to Gaia. The edit chronicles three encounters the Planeteers have with Zarn, begining with his initial apperance in "The Conqueror" and culminating in what I have always considered the season two finale, "Summit to Save Earth"

Here's a look at how the edit opens

Reuploaded the X-Men edit, it's significantly different from the last version and IMO, much improved

Time to turn this thread back around to it's original subject: Recutting TMNT episodes. The last time I dipped my hat into this process, I was, frankly, still very rubbish at editing. Now I know exactly what to do with it, and I've decided to use this recutting project as a platform to experiment with the frantic transition effects the show would often go through, this helps with greater ease in removing commercial breaks from the finished product. The show does depend very heavily on them though, especially early on in the series, I think I lost count at one point, and my use of similar transitions meant more come in even rapid succession

I'll see if I can upload my first fresh stab, a 37 minute hybrid of the first two episodes, to Vimeo sometime this week so it's easier for people who don't want to download the link to view it

Honestly though, I'm not even slightly surprised, the FW episodes tended to drag. I even think you could cut 75% of the footage in some cases.

I reckon so too, do you have any in mind that could be done in about five minutes?

I think the Mutagen Man episode could be done in five minutes, most of it consists of MM running around and the Turtles just standing at gun point, if I'm not mistaken there's also a subplot about Vernon injuring the heir to the company that can be trimmed down.
