I'm officially back! Despite that this fact might now make some of you sick and miserable, This makes me "HAPPY TODAY"! Got this new laptop cpu and i'll have to delete bloatware and do a bunch of BS to make this Lenovo Ideapad 330 get to where I like it... BUT I'm back!Hello again to all my friends, comrades, those who just barely tolerate my one-of-a-kindness!

When a work device these days is legit a phone (with the call part disabled) and has Chrome so you can pull up live video online and listen to election news while you work.

I got hired at a food distributor warehouse... as a CND operator... 4 days a week, $200 a day.... 9-hr shifts... start on Monday! which comes out to $800 a week, $3,200 a month. 35 years old and my first time ever not being self-employed. i wonder if being partially disabled from my accident as a teen is gonna be an issue for them?

I got an extension on my unemployment benefits, so that's pretty good news.

It's apparently only 13 weeks, and I had heard 20, but I'unno, better than nothing. We'll see what the situation is come February.

Sadly, unemployment is paying me more than a job would so I really don't have any impetus to look for work until I exhaust my benefits, because going back to work would essentially be a "pay cut". So I'm grateful for the down time, meanwhile. Like I said, we'll see what shakes loose in February.

Thanks, I have a little bit saved but it's nice to know I won't have to touch it for a while unless I want to.

I don't think any of us are truly happy, and maybe that's why this thread was started... because happiness is so elusive for some that we have to post about mundane things that bring us the tiniest, most minute sliver of joy and then the rest of our lives are complete shite!

Frankly, if you're in your 30's and beyond and you have to use this forum, well, the train derailed at some point and you can't find the tracks!

Some of us are so clearly better off on the mental health front that, well, it's very telling who comes here and who don't!

Hate your job, hate your home life? Wanna kill your boss/landlord? Ever thought of murdering your spouse? Still a virgin at 40 and mad that you don't have a spouse? Medical problems/debt? Yeah, life is like that! So, by all means LET IT OUT... REJOICE because sometimes the little things are the only things that matter!

I dunno, I am happy 90% of the time. I've never been depressed in my entire life, and while things could be better, I've never been one to dwell on things. Like most of the time I'm sitting here on the computer typing with a huge smile on my face. Like a Joker-grin from Batman.

Nice. No luck for me looking for the 5th "The Works" volume at 2nd and Charles today, and figured the chances were slim. Maybe another time. Fun store, hadn't ever been to it yet. Needs more TMNT though.

Did come home with another nice little (non TMNT) book for $1 and a fluffy shark hand puppet I couldn't leave behind. And avoided being hit by an idiot on the road. So those would be happy things...

...I always took that for craziness. Though I guess even some crazy people are happy.
