This should be off the chain... no pun intended. Supposedly, this is gonna be Match 1 of a three-match series that's gonna conclude with a Dog Collar Match in a few weeks. Love these guys, couldn't be more excited.

It's a VFW in New Castle, Delaware, right over the bridge from Jersey and like literally two minutes into Delaware. I did a lot of shows there back around 2012-2014. Never a big crowd but always a lot of fun.

It was honestly one of my all-time favorite places to work at because the "backstage" was pretty much "the entire rest of the building", which included a few very large sitting rooms and lots of space to walk around. 99% of the time, you're crammed with 30 other guys in what's essentially a large closet, with everybody getting changed and trying to go over matches. The "locker room" situation at almost any indy show is absolute garbage and extremely uncomfortable, but that place was practically palatial by comparison and it led to a very relaxed atmosphere.

Maybe a little *too* relaxed, as a few of us were almost always at least buzzed or even half-drunk by the time we got to the ring, but them's the breaks.

There was also an awesome Hooters right next door where we always had the after-party. Great times.

The promotion moved to Indiana a few years ago, unfortunately, so those days are long over with. But it was a ton of fun while it lasted. If you look at my YouTube from that time period you'll see several matches I had at that place.

I hope Shida Drops the belt soon next month will be one year she has been champion. Hopefully they are getting ready to give Baker the belt. I am getting bored of Shida as Champion.

Looks like Dynamite is gonna be reaching 1M viewers every week now.

Maybe moving NXT to Tuesdays wasn't such a great idea by WWE. Because now Dynamite has zero competition in Wednesdays and wrestling fans who were previously undecided between which shiw to watch will no longer face that dilemma. Ofc, NXT's ratings will probably rise as well, but AEW being a new company and all clearly has more to gain from its main show's viewership increasing and establishing itself.

That seems to be the plan. I know people are pissed Conti lost, but they don't get it. It's leading up to Baker winning the title. They'd be ten times more pissed if Conti won the title only to drop it to Baker a few weeks later.

But let's be honest, in the Big Picture and looking at how they've always treated Mickie James anyways... yeah, that was definitely a rib on her.

I like Mickie. Not only is she smoking hot - hotter in person, if you can believe it - but she's super-nice, besides. She did a few shows for a group I was with about ten years ago and she couldn't have been more of a sweetheart. Brought her little dog with her everywhere.

She goofed on me once; she had to wrestle Jillian Hall and they were backstage hanging out, and I was sent to go tell them to get on deck. I told them they were up and she was like "We need like ten more minutes, tell 'em no." Like, totally serious. I look over at Jillian and she's like "Yeah, not yet. Like ten, maybe fifteen." I'm like "They said they need you like, now," and Mickie's like "Tough!" So I just kinda looked at them for a second all bewildered, and then they started cracking up and she's like "I'm f*cking with you, dude!"

I'm paraphrasing the rest of it but that line specifically, and her emphatic delivery of it, is etched into my memory forever.

She smokes, but I guess nobody's perfect.
