September Pixel Dan who is an indy wrestler who goes by Spotlight Spencer Powers is facing Matt Cardona. I think that's awesome cause they are both toy collectors and have done comic con videos together. Pixel Dan is the current champion of pinfall wrestling association. So its for the belt.

I have always said they should wrestle each other and now they are.

MJF was a no-show at a fan meet and greet last night and booked a flight out of Vegas. He was to be in a big match today on Double or Nothing. Still waiting on updates on if he actually boarded the plane or not.

On a similar note, Samoa Joe also missed the fan meet but that was more of confusion with what time it was and whatnot.

If it's a work, it's an expensive one since Khan had to refund everyone for the meet & greet.

If it's a shoot... he has two years left on his contract, what does he hope to accomplish? What is his market value NOW that he's unreliable enough to walk out on a PPV? Vince is already dealing with one walk-out headache that isn't anywhere near as big a deal.

Unless MJF thinks he's SO valuable to Vince that this won't affect him at all. And... dude, nobody outside the internet knows or cares who MJF is. So he's already reaching if he thinks he's some kind of "star". Way more people know who Cody is than him, and most of that is from that stupid game show Cody was on.

So if it's a shoot, and let's pretend Vince completely ignores the fact that this guy just no-showed a major PPV event, let's see what might happen...

- Khan just says "F*ck this guy, if he wants to leave, let him go" and breaks his contract. Let's say Vince signs him immediately, or in the near future... then what? He's short, he doesn't have a great look or a great body, and he's used to wrestling once every few weeks. Does he REALLY think that on the strength of his promos alone, Vince will use him in a significant role? No, he's gonna be someone's manager or a midcard guy. MAYBE he's fine with that, so long as he gets paid a lot of money, but his ego strongly suggests he wants more than just that.

Again, MJF is a big deal to Internet Smart Marks, but otherwise he's Nobody. The casual WWE audience would laugh and say "Who's this joker?" if he came out on Raw or Smackdown and started talking sh*t to Reigns or Brock. Even in a kayfabe sense, he has no big wins or Titles or anything that he can point to and brag about to elevate him. He's "just" a loudmouth heel who plays the role very well and keeps kayfabe 24/7. But that's ALL he has going for him, and in the grand scheme of things, that's not very valuable.

- Let's say Khan DOESN'T release him from his contract, and pays him to sit at home for two years. Does MJF think his market value in 2024 will be anywhere near what it is Right Now, after being off TV for two years? No chance. He's barely anyone now, he'll be completely forgotten by then. In wrestling, if you're out of sight you're out of mind.

If it's not a work, then there's just no strong upside to the situation for MJF. He cut his own throat.

And even if it IS a work, it runs the risk of biting Khan in the ass. A LOT of people are gonna think twice about putting up the money to attend any AEW meet & greets in the future, now that it's established that someone major may not even show up.

I don't know, man. I can see it being either. Rumors suggest that part of why MJF is so good at "playing the role" and "keeping it kayfabe" is that he actually is an entitled prick, and I can believe that. Nobody's generally that good of an actor. I think he uses "keeping it kayfabe" as an excuse to be that way and get away with it. I've known a few.

We'll see. I just can't imagine what the hell anyone involved is thinking, shoot or work.

That whole out of sight out of mind thing is exactly why Kenny delayed his surgeries. He wanted one big run (that multi-title run) to keep his name out there before he left and people today are still asking when he's coming back.

As of 2 hours ago, MJF is apparently still in Vegas.

If it's a work, Khan still has to pay those refunds and fans are still gonna be annoyed and skeptical going forward. So... that's bad.

If it's a shoot, MJF still looks like an entitled crybaby who forced his boss into a game of "chicken" right before a major show.

Can Vince say, with certainty, that this guy won't ever pull a Warrior At SummerSlam '91 stunt on him if he doesn't get his way? He's literally doing it to Khan Right Now.

The whole thing is just dumb.

Yes he wrestles as matt Cardona he holds 5 or 6 belts including the 10 pounds of gold nwa championship. He also wrestles for impact too. Does a lot of indy shows as well. His post wwe run has been fantastic
