I dislike it, strongly, but I'm not in uproar or anything. I'll come to be indifferent once I see that sweet ass animation flashing before my eyes.

I think the word itself is stupid, but I'm not upset about it.

The more I hear Booyakasha, the funnier it seems.

agreed- and i think it will be perfectly fine
as others have said, this is a new show and therefore should have a new catchphrase- definitely not upset over here, just looking forward to the chance to watch it

Cowabunga is so 80s. It was never mentioned in the 2003 show nor in the original comics. People are just being ignorant. I don't see people raging out of the theater after watch The Dark Knight and whined that Batman is not in blue and gray tights like the 60s show.
So yea, go Booyakasha!!!!!!!!!! |

Not to be "That guy" but "Cowabunga!" was mentioned a few times in the 4Kids series, often to the chagrin of Raphael. Heck, it's in the 1st episode.

It's not a big deal either way, but I think that it's hinting at the return of "Cowabunga." Anyone particularly upset about it doesn't seem to understand that they're both nonsense terms. They'd fight for whichever came first; they probably don't really hate "Booyakasha," per se.

Nobody on this board is blinded by nostalgia. One term was a perfect fit as it was surfer lingo, the other is taken from some piece of s**t character nobody's cared about in ages. I haaaaaaaaaaate Ali G & that's where my frustration comes from.

I'm not upset about it at all. I like the new catchphrase a lot. It sounds almost like a Japanese war cry.

It's a lot better than Naruto's "Believe It"; that's for sure.

As for "Cowabunga," you probably know this, but even though the OT was going for the surfer slang that was prevalent once upon a time, the term itself came from Howdy-freakin'-Doody. And while you're likely not "blinded by nostalgia," I'll betcha there's at least a few that are. Definitely. And while we're at it, "It's Ninja Time" can go crawl in a hole and die alone. |

I've never heard of this character, though judging from that dumb looking video something tells me I prefer not to know.
