I thought Jon Kent's character wasn't all that old comic wise. Shows how little I know. So the character is bi, now. *shrugs* I guess I don't feel one way or another about it.

This made me think of Rupert Grint from the Harry Potter films. He said somewhere around the third film, that he hoped that in the books, Ron's character would get killed out because he didn't want to have to kiss Emma Watson since it was obvious that the books were headed in that direction (Ron x Hermione), especially after book 4. He mainly said that because he viewed Emma like a younger sister and kissing your sister would definitely be weird. I know, not fully the same, but as mentioned, it just made me think of it.

"We're certainly not opposed to exploring it," Helbing said. "But the way our character was set up, it feels like the comic book story and what we're doing are two separate stories. I don't think that we will, but we're certainly not opposed to it."

Saw the last 2 episodes of season 1 I hadn't gotten around to watching finally.

Credit where it is due. Solid. This felt like a movie. Very well done and what they did with Steel near the end there was effective. I had doubts and worries about where a Superman and sons series might go in 2021... so it's a pleasant surprise.

They need to put everyone creatively involved in this show in charge of everything CW. I'm still skeptical where this show may be forcibly pushed into season 2 and beyond... but if these guys have earned enough clout to be left alone, I'm good.

I am tempted to check this out but I've never enjoyed a CW-esque DC television series in my life. And that's putting it nicely.

I know I can't expect it to be as great as Man of Steel, especially in terms of budget and visuals, but...is it anywhere near as good? Or is it just another Arrow, Flash, etc?

The Showrunner on this show is Todd Helbing. He was Showrunner on the good seasons of The Flash back in the day.
