Wow. What a shame - Loved him in Dark City and he was the most validating part of "Lost In Space". |

I hate to say I only knew his work through the Marvel flicks.

William Hurt was a very memorable actor, great with action, drama, comedy, etc... very versatile and entertaining, loved the sound of his voice too. He and his career will be remembered very fondly, enjoy heaven William Hurt.

It will be interesting to see what Marvel will do with General Ross now. Do they just recast? I think they should, but in doing so will reveal a little bit of obvious hypocrisy. A black man playing the lead in a major primarily black franchise at Marvel? Oh no, we can't recast, we must immediately bury the character he played with the actor. An old white guy playing a recurring but beloved supporting character dies? Oh no, that's fine, recast that no problem. I'd say give Ross back to Sam Elliott... but the guy is already 78. Let's not do this again in a few years and all, you know.

You aren't wrong on that. Hurt did a great John Robertson.

That movie should've launched a franchise, but I think the third act killed it badly.

God why is everyone dying. Pretty soon everyone is going to be dead.
I can't believe every famous actor from this era will be gone within 10 years time. |
