Old school fan

Hi everyone, I have been coming here for a while. First just looking at the news and then a while back I signed up for the forums. I think this is the best TMNT web site there is. So a little history, I have been following the TMNT since 1985. I went to my local comic shop with my father. I was looking through the stacks and Chuck ,the manager asked me what I was in to. I really didn't have a prefrence. so he handed me this over sized black and white book. The cover caught my attention. I had pet turtles at the time so I thought it would be cool. So I read it and BAM I was hooked. I went back to get the next issue. To my dismay , and due to Mirage's shipping scedule I had to wait several months to get it. I loved it even more. So from then on I was into anything TMNT. There have been a few dissapointments like the Next Mutation and the third movie. But over all TMNT has been awesome. I have most of the comics, All volumes. Most of the toys. I am rebuilding my original TMNT collection off ebay since i played with most of mine in the 80's. wich brings me to today. Where I am an almost 30 year old who still buys TMNT figures and gets up early on sunday (TMNT shows here at 7:00 am).I still get my comics from Chuck. But the coolest part is now what made me so happy as a kid I share with my kids. They love them as much as I do. And its great for our refrigerator to be covered in drawings of the turltes,Ray Fillet and many others. I know this is a little long but I really wanted to share.

Wow! You became a TMNT fan through the first comic! I became a fan in 1988 through the old animated series. I didn't learn about the comics untill the early nineties.
That was a cool story! Thanks for sharing it with us!
