I'm having trouble!

Can someone suggest some good software for buring CD's? I mean something that won't cost too much, and will burn something other than .cda's.

My current program won't even recognize .mp3s! So much for burning my own Tour CD.

I use Direct CD, that came with the factory installed CD burner on my Dell. It burns almost everything (except for midi wave files).

Actually, I think most CD burning software doesn't recognize MP3s. You need to decode them to WAVs first, then burn them on to the CD. Before my CD burner broke, I used Mp3Decode to decode the MP3s and NTI CD-Maker Pro to burn them onto CDs (good software that came with my not-so-good CD burner...).

Hrmm.. I guess my CD burner and software package on my machine already has a decoder included. All the MP3's I downloaded from the Net, I could burn straight to CD. I didn't have to do anything to them before hand.

O course, if this in regards to freshly made MP3's from one's own CD, I wouldn't know that process yet.

Is it really? For cd burning I turn to my friends and really thank them for taking the time to burn cds for me. I got 20 cds from a friend of mine for a portable cd player. I had 2 and I got one for free because I took it from a indian and it's better than my other one that I bought.

There are a few. A friend of my mom's once had a version of Adaptec Easy CD Creator (a new version at the time) that supported MP3 audio. According one of my friends from (my former) school, his CD burning software supports MP3 too, and since he has no idea what a wave file is (this guy's a little *points to his head and makes a farting sound with tongue* when it comes to computers), I guess I have no choice but to take his word for it.

Er, sorry that didn't help, but hey, I just had to comment on what Krang said...

EDIT: Oops, didn't realize the age of this thread.

This is what happens when people keep bumping old threads. That post is nearly 2 years old, and the information I posted is no longer accurate (I now use Nero 5 to burn CDs and it does support MP3s). TMNTGUY4EVER, this is the last time I'm going to tell you to stop reviving threads that are more than 10 pages back on the thread list. Next time, you'll get a warning for intentionally breaking the rules.
