Costumes, ect. (with pictures!)

So, I figure we've got a few cosplayers, or at least enough people that could be interested in it, to warrent this topic. Maybe those of you with experiance at this would be willing to share some tips?

I'll start this off. I'm working on my Gambit costume, finally, for this year. So far I've picked up the coat (it's black leather... not brown.... but for $40 at a Goodwill it'll work just fine), got the gloves ready to be cut up, and I have the playing cards. Should be fun. I'll take some pics when I get the shirt made up.

Just gotta work on the pants and the shirt, then the boots. I'm thinking some cheap sneakers, poster board, and duct tape. Lots of tape. >_>. As for the staff, broom stick with silver spray paint.

Updated: Piccys!

Sorry 'bout the crappy lighting. This is the coat, the gloves, and my cards. Ace of Hearts, of course . Expect more next Monday!

I'm about to start work on a Matt Hardy costume for Haloween. Then I hope to re-do my Anakin Skywalker costume and fix it up to look a little better. My girlfriend is going to be Marvel Girl this haloween, so I'll probably help her make that one. (even though she's better at sewing than I am)
