The Game That Consumes You!

*Spitfire* · 11-30-2005, 07:03 PM

Everyone has that one game that they can just sit and play for hours and hours on end and it just doesn't get boring to them. Mine for some strange reason is Knights Of The Old Republic. I've beaten it 3 times, working on a 4th O_O and I'm still playing. I find something new that I havn't done yet each time that's probly why I like it so much...anyways what game can you play forever and ever?

*Kid Icarus* · 11-30-2005, 10:21 PM

Two words: Animal. Crossing.

If I'm not on here much next week... you guys'll know (and understand, 'cause I know most of you are getting the game too) why.

Oh, and Mario Kart DS. I just unlocked ROB today. Just got the retro 150cc Mirror to clear, and the single player's done. Wh00t.

**ThirdMarioBro** · 11-30-2005, 10:26 PM

I can play Panel de Pon for hours on end until my hands give out.

I just killed Retro Cup Mirror. Now I'm working on getting all triple star rankings on Mission Mode and such to get my little hardcore stars online. Not going to be easy.

Once Animal Crossing comes out, I'll probobly fall off the face of the earth for a couple of weeks.

World of Warcraft has consumed my life for almost 6 months now. I stopped playing for a while, but I slowly lost my mind, so I had to go back to it. It is most likely the best MMORPG I have ever played in my life. The game is so fast-paced, unlike most other MMO's, and the PvP is what makes the game. The quests are also a nice touch to add innovation and constant fun-factor. There also isn't any better feeling than dancing on someone's corpse after you critical backstab them for almost 1k damage.

Rez.... I do hope to get into AC when my red hot red ds comes in.

The Pop'n Music series definitely fits that description for me. To a slightly lesser extent, so do some puzzle games such as Puyo Puyo, Panel de Pon, Puzzle Bobble, Puzzle Fighter, and Tetris.

Ah yes, games that have consumed the lives of many many many people....including myself

**GK Punk** · 12-01-2005, 02:03 AM

Metroid. The entire series. Space Channel 5 and also a handful of Final Fantasy games.

Jed · 12-01-2005, 02:52 AM

I never really seem to go back to PS2, GC or Xbox games after a few months, but I always find myself wanting to play Sonic3 and Sonic & Knuckles on the Megadrive. I keep the two GBA Metroid games and the Advance Wars games on my GBA cart permanently because I play them a lot too...

**Barkworm** · 12-01-2005, 03:29 AM

The last one was "Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga".

*Mecha Cow* · 12-01-2005, 04:57 AM

Those open-ended games like the Sims and Harvest Moon. They're nowhere near my favorite games, and I barely ever play them, but when I do, I can never seem to find a good point to quit.

Blondus · 12-01-2005, 05:08 AM

Final Fantasy VII. I can play it for hours. and days..

Peanut · 12-01-2005, 11:02 AM

Prince of Persia. I must have gone through Sands of Time 20 to 25 times. Not so much with Warrior Within, but with this new one I can tell I'm going to hit some SoT numbers.

I'm gonna say Mario All-Stars for the SNES... Love it... play it all the time, maybe too much... I found it at a pawn shop about a month or two ago and haven't been able to stop... I love that game... oh, and Halo 2 online (does that count?) I could play online for days in a row... so much fun...
...

*Dr. Doom* · 12-01-2005, 01:20 PM

My friends and I have been playing Smash Bros. Melee religiously for years. There's no game that has consumed me more.

World Of Warcraft is up there tho. I was going for about 9-10 months straight.

You and me both.

Also add in FF7 and UmJammer Lammy for good measure.

*XERO* · 12-01-2005, 06:20 PM

*zkarlette* · 12-01-2005, 07:08 PM

It used to be Medal of Honor: Allied Assault for the PC. I wasted hours upon hours playing that game online. Haven't played it in about a year. Super Smash Brothers: Melee is up there, too. Halo2 also gets a lot of play time from me.
