Mortal Kombat: Armageddon

http://www.mkarmageddon.com/MKA_WGD.wmv

I suppose it was inevitable that every single character would be involved in a new MK game. Yet I have a thought that because this is the case, this may be the last MK game made. Sounds plausible.

In any event, it's noted in the trailer that there will be a "Kreate-a-Kombatant" feature (most likely to coincide with Soul Calibur III), which seems sweet enough on paper.

I can't wait to check this game out, being the MK nut that I am.

Thoughts?

A good series finally coming to an end... I hope. There are far too many game series that are still going that should've been killed long ago, MegaMan X probably being #1 on my list.

Creation always seems like a good idea on paper, you figure "How can it possibly detract from the game?" But if it's not done right, not made to feel worthwhile, then it just ends up being a huge waste of time, effort and space that could have been used on something else. Hopefully Midway will approach this intelligently.

Maybe it isn't the last... it might just be the last on the current consoles, look at the past, MK went out for 5 years and came back with a bang!

But if it really is the end of Mortal Kombat, they will go out with somethnig special at the end

It's cool how they have a new Kreate-A-Fighter option and Kreate-A-Fatality This game is gonna rule

The Mortal Kombat: Armageddon Cast!

The Best 2 Guys are right at the front

Yeah, this could be just a way to clean the slate on a new console with the leftover characters. I still think the story is one of the greatest for a fighting game, along with Street Fighter.

Though in my eyes, the MK story makes just a little bit more sense. Just a little.

But yeah, I saw that picture on the main site. It looks like they're going to make Blaze into some big time foe. I just have one misgiving...

Why Mokap? Why?

I totally agree. Case in point: The absolutely horrid create-a-fighter mode in Mike Tyson Heavyweight Boxing for the PS2. Sure, the whole game blew chunks, but the character creation bits were especially asinine. A shame, really, since an infamous and devastating boxer like Mike Tyson deserves a game franchise that lives up to the man himself. (Hey, EA, why no Iron Mike in Fight Night?)

Blaze isn't the villian of the story, it's "The One Being" he was mentioned numerous times in Deception and well he's gonna end it all somehow, i hope they don't do something lame like kill off every character at the end, well if Sub-Zero and Scorpion live i'll be happy

Also Mokaps in there because he's an easter egg, he's there for comic relief

I really hope they put in "Toasty guy" as a secret character. MK is known for their random acts of comedy

You mean Scorpion? lol, i know you meant one of the designers of the game that would pop up and say "Toasty!" when you did a combo, but Scorpion also say's this excatly the same (MK: Shaolin Monks) but anyway i agree with you, bring back the Toasty guy!

No, he means Dan Forden, the SFX guy of the MK franchise.

And about Mokap: I seriously believe that being an Easter Egg is not a reason to be a character in the game. But, with the story wizards at the MK offices, I'm sure they'll come up with something to make him fit.

Yes, Blaze is the "One Being," so it's possible that he might be someone you'll have to fight, ergo a foe like I said, not necessarily a villain.

What's "PUNCH OUT!", chopped liver? He's also the basis for Balrog (called "Mike Bison" in Japan) from Street Fighter.

Anyway, "Mike Tyson's Ear-biting Rape-a-thon" would be the only game to do Tyson justice anyway.

This is the game I've been waiting for for over 10 years now, or ever since they released MK Trilogy... because I knew they wouldn't stop at 3.... it's almost been that long... and after 4 came out I just wanted them to get 5 and 6 out of the way so they could finally release MK: SAGA
Ughhhh... I mean Armaggeddon
That's what I've been calling it all this time: Saga
In any case.... All Characters plus a create a fighter mode is reason enough to buy this tilte, much less Adventure mode and create a fatality
What?

This isn't the last Mortal Kombat. Ed Boon said this is the last one for this generation, and with it will come the close of all the stories that are still left open with the current characters. The next gen MK game is in the works and will be a "clean slate", with new characters, storylines, etc.
