Favorite Game Soundtracks

I don't know if I'm the only one here who listens to video game soundtracks but some really stand out over others. I listen to metal mostly but I have a ear for some game soundtracks.

Silent Hill - Silent Hill 4, espcially 3 and 4. These soundtracks are very very good and I love to listen to them. Their very relaxing.

Resident Evil Outbreak - Another really good soundtrack with some great stand out songs. Very spooky and keeps my attention.

Devil May Cry 2 - Horrible game but great soundtrack, I love the spazzy fight techno.

Zone Of The Enders 2 - I still havn't gotten the actually OST yet but I want it >_< I just love the music for this game. I don't know why but it's just so GOOD.

Freedom Fighters - No clue why I like the music in this game but when I first played I always loved it and I still do. I just now finially got the soundtrack. Very good stuff.

Out of all those though my favorite is a tie between SH 3 and 4. Their both great and a few of the songs with the female singer are good, which is odd for me because I listen to metal...which is far from soft like those songs. Oh and I'd like to make a not, I don't like the game God Of War but I thought the soundtrack was pretty awesome and very epic sounding.

So what are you favorite game soundtracks?

Donkey Kong Country 1-3, Super Metroid, Mario, Streets of Rage 1-3, Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog 1-SK, Mega Man 1-7, Megaman X1-X5, Battletoads, and of course, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Yoshi's Island for SNES has to have my favourite soundtrack of all time. The one rare miss is the underground cavern theme, but the rest are so catchy that they easily make up for it.

Yup yup, gotta love Doughnut Lifts I have a concert remix CD you need to hear Peanut.

In no particular order (except the first four)

1. Super Mario 64 (Dire Dire Docks and the like)
2. Donkey Kong Country 2 (David Wise's greatest work to date)
3. Donkey Kong Country (one of the greatest game soundtracks ever)
4. The whole Sonic series music up to Sonic Advenure 2's who's music was rank.
5. Streets of Rage 1 & 2
6. All Star Fox scores
7. Kameo: Elements of Power (didn't see it comming either)
8. Any Mega Man except the fu*king .exe games.
9. ANY Konami game soundtrack
10. The Mario series as a whole. Koji never dropped quality except a little at SUnshine.
11. Anything Capcom's legendary Alpha Lyra group ever did (Street Fighter, Final Fight, Versus series, and everything else.)

The only games that I can think of right now are really old games, but they are Jurassic Park for SNES, Donkey Kong Country (all of them), and TMNT for NES. Also, Spitfire, you said there is a soundtrack for Freedom Fighters? Nice. I loved that game so much. When is the sequel due out?

Might not be the most original answer, but the Mario and Zelda games have some pretty damn great music.

The Megaman and Crash Bandicoot tunes were pretty nice too.

You're kidding, right?

That's one of the catchiest songs in the game, IMO.

Although the soundtrack of "Yoshi's Island" is very catchy it's kind of disappointing that there is only a total of like 7 or 8 tracks.
